Chateau de Chambord - 10:00 - 11:45 Visit Chateau de Chambord. The guide will share the history and construction details of the castle. Known for its French Renaissance architecture, Chambord was built from 1519 to 1547 by Francis I and is the largest castle with 440 rooms, 282 fireplaces, and 84 staircases. The castle features a unique double-spiral staircase, possibly designed by Leonardo da Vinci. 11:45 Departure to Amboise City, a 1-hour drive (60 km) along national roads by the Loire River, passing through the countryside and several villages and towns.

Overlooking Omaha Beach, the cemetery contains 9,387 U.S. soldiers’ graves, most of whom died during the Normandy Landings, and the Wall of the Missing with 1,557 names. The cliffs contain remnants of German defenses, including concrete casemates with memorials. The cemetery features the “Spirit of American Youth Rising from the Waves” sculpture, large military operation maps, and beautiful gardens.
