Founded in 665, the Abbey was active until the French Revolution in 1789. Dom Perignon advanced winemaking techniques in the Champagne region. • Epernay - 12:30 - 14:00 Lunch break in Épernay. Reservations at a quality local restaurant can be arranged, or guests may explore on their own. Known as the Champagne Capital of France, Épernay is situated along the Marne river and surrounded by wine hills, hosting many of the region’s most prestigious champagne houses. It is a must-visit for champagne enthusiasts. The Avenue of Champagne is a popular attraction for tourists.
  14:00 Depart for the Pressoria Museum in Ay village, a short 10-minute drive (4 km).
• Pressoria - 14:15 - 15:15 Self-guided visit to the Pressoria Museum. Discover the history of the Champagne region and the method of Champagne production, including a tasting of 2 glasses of Champagne.
  15:15 Depart for Paris. The return journey is approximately 2.5 hours, depending on traffic (135 km).
