Known as the Champagne Capital of France, Épernay is situated along the Marne River and surrounded by wine hills, hosting many of the region’s most prestigious champagne houses. It is a must-visit for champagne enthusiasts. The Avenue of Champagne is a popular tourist attraction.
  14:00 Departure to the Pressoria Museum in Ay village, a short 10-minute drive (4 km).
• Pressoria - 14:15 - 15:15 Self-guided visit to the Pressoria Museum. Discover the history of the Champagne region and the method of Champagne production, including a tasting of 2 glasses of Champagne.
  15:15 Departure to Hautvillers, a charming historical village atop the hills, approximately a 10-minute drive (6 km).
• Abbaye Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers - 15:30 - 16:00 Self-guided visit to the Abbey’s Church of Sindulphe d’Hautvillers. Founded in 665, the Abbey was active until the French Revolution in 1789. Dom Perignon developed winemaking methods in the Champagne region here. Today, there are 26 local Champagne producers in the village. A brief stop at the viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views over the vineyards and Marne River.
