Highlights
  • Sainte-Chapelle - This royal chapel was originally built to house relics and today it’s still one of the most jaw-dropping rooms in Paris. It’s also one of the city’s most popular attractions. Luckily, you’ll skip the long lines and walk straight into this remarkable monument.
  • Conciergerie - Next, you’ll visit the Conciergerie, the oldest remaining part of the Palais de la Cité. This former royal residence of the kings of France became a prison during the French Revolution, with its most famous inmate being Marie Antoinette. Enter with pre-reserved tickets for a guided tour of this incredible piece of French history.
  • Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris - As you approach the iconic Notre Dame, your guide will take you back in time hundreds of years to when the mighty cathedral (the distance from which all points in France are measured) was first built and Paris looked very different than it does today. Through November 2024, you’ll get as close to the majestic landmark as the ongoing restoration will permit you to give you the best views possible. If you visit from mid-December 2024, the highlight of your tour will be the opportunity to step inside Notre-Dame itself. After years of restoration following the devastating fire, you’ll be among the first to experience its reopening—a true once-in-a-lifetime experience.
  • Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis - Wander through Île de la Cité, the historic heart of Paris. Your guide will reveal the island’s rich history and its role as the birthplace of the city.
  • Latin Quarter - Cross the river into the historic Latin Quarter and stroll down meandering, cobblestone streets where you’ll hear the stories and learn of the characters—poets, philosophers, artists—that made Paris the City of Light.
  • Pont-Neuf - Wrap up your tour at the equestrian statue of Henri IV, located on the Pont Neuf. From here, your guide will point you to the departure point for the Seine River cruise, which offers a perfect end to your exploration.

Violet is the best tour guide! - Our tour guide Violet is the best we had for the whole trip. We wish we had her in the previous Paris tours. We had a various tour guides before this tour, she is the most knowledgeable, friendly and professional guide we had. We have 2 young kids, and they were so engaged with her stories for the 3-hour tour!

Family Vacation in Paris - Walks tours are always the most informative ones. They hire the best tour guides with advanced degrees and strong research experience. The tour guides are always friendly and helpful. The walking tour was very good. We learned a lot about French history and revolution. Ms. Violette is an excellent guide. Thanks to her we learned a lot of information. Highly recommend the tour. She gave us passes to the Paris River Cruise. We took the tour at 10:45 pm. Awesome! We were able to see the city lit up nicely. The Eiffel tour was glowing in the dark! Thanks Violette for everything!!

Absolutely recommend this tour - My tour was blessed to have Adam as our tour leader. He was a very knowledgeable guy, very passionate about the history of the places we visited. He was very personable and what I liked most was that he didnt just spill out information. He asked for our input, asked questions, and I really felt part of his world for just a few short hours. I would highly recommend this tour with "Team Adam" and give him 20/10 for his enthusiasm, knowledge and attitude on the tour.

An Excellent, Memorable Tour with Adam! - I had booked this tour for 6 of us before we traveled to Paris. I am a big fan of Take Walks and have always used them for tours when traveling. Our tour guide was Adam. On a scale of 1 to 10, Adam was a 12! I believe there were 15-16 people in our group. Adam immediately learned all our names and where we were from. He never forgot! He engaged us from the very beginning with his personality, sense of humor, passion for history and his wealth of knowledge. Adam is a natural born teacher. He brought the beautiful windows of Sainte-Chapelle to life by explaining in detail the stories told in the stain glass windows. He shared the fascinating history of the Conciergerie that was once a royal palace, a courthouse and a horrible prison where Marie-Antoinette was a prisoner. I learned so much from Adam. We were so lucky to have him as our tour guide. This was one of my very favorite tours. Thank you, Adam!

Great tour and well worth it. - Our guide was very knowledgeable, engaging and prepared. Loved being inside Sainte-Chappelle ! Unfortunately, the Notre Dame is still being rebuilt & therefore closed to tours but it was still nice to be outside and hearing of it's magnificent history.
