Highlights
  • Fondation Claude Monet - Begin your day by boarding your comfortable, air-conditioned private bus in central Paris. Once inside, you’ll meet your tour co-ordinator, a local expert who’ll accompany you throughout your trip to provide you with insights and stories about the sites you’ll visit.

Your first stop is the Fondation Claude Monet in the village of Giverny. After a brief but fact-packed orientation tour, you’ll be free to explore the Impressionist master’s estate at your leisure using a convenient self-guided audio app. The house has been restored to how it was when Monet himself lived and worked there, and many features of the estate are familiar from his great works – like the ponds carpeted in luscious water lilies.

  • Palace of Versailles - Then it’s a short bus ride from Giverny to Versailles, where an official palace guide will escort you past the line, directly into the Sun King’s opulent seat of power. With over 700 rooms and 2,000 acres of gardens, Versailles is magnificent inside and out. You’ll see highlights like the Hall of Mirrors and Salon of Abundance, fountains and secret garden groves, and an art collection to rival the finest museums. In keeping with the surroundings, the royals and courtiers who populated Versailles at its height were larger than life; your guide will share some of the wildest moments of the palace’s history.

  • Jardins du Chateau de Versailles - After your guided visit of the inside of the Palace of Versailles, you will be taken to the extravagant gardens of Versailles. Here, you have the freedom to explore at your own pace, wandering along the canal, marveling at the fountains, and enjoying the final part of the tour at your own will

Great tour - Amazing Guides! - We loved the tour! Emma and Nazli were wonderful! My mom had mobility issues and they were so very kind! The Monet Gardens were breathtaking and Versaille was incredible! Nazli knows a lot about the art pieces and history and made the visit even more interesting. For the gardens, we took the Petit Train BUT I think that was not the best way to explore the gardens - go for the Golf kart! there is a lot to explore! Emma and Nasli (and the lady Driver I forgot to ask for your name) THANK YOU!

Excellent day trip to Giverny + Versailles - This trip was well-organized, very informative, comfortable, and time efficient. The tour buses were clean & elegant, we were treated to views of the French countryside without the stress of driving ourselves in a foreign country. Our guides gave very informative presentations on the highlights of Monet/Giverny & Versailles, which greatly enhanced our cultural understanding of these sites. Each site visit included adequate time to explore on our own, grab a snack, use restrooms, etc. The tour guides were friendly & bilingual speakers of French & English, which was so helpful. The complimentary ear bud speaker system on the Versailles tour was fantastic! A nice touch was being able to purchase cold bottles of water on the bus at a discount, so we could avoid lines at snack counters at the sites, very appreciated on a warm summer day with lots of walking. I hope to take future day trips with this company!

Stunning - The best way to see both places in one day. Guided tour of the palace was so helpful and informative, and exploring Giverny on our own was just lovely. Versailles was sooooo crowded so the guide helped a lot!

Day of Magical Places! - Great way to spend a day seeing two Beautiful and very different places! James was a great bus/guide for Monet! We left Versailles early because after the tour we felt that we didn’t need so much time to take in the gardens.

Half and Half - Really enjoyed Monet’s house and our guide Emma was lovely. Giverny is very cute. This was the highlight for me. Unfortunately Emma left us at Versailles, and then it all started to go wrong. The palace was evacuated, so there was a delay of an hour getting in (no fault of the tour company). But the ladies seemed completely thrown and didn’t know what to do. Then when everyone was allowed back in, they hung back and it was at least another 30 minutes before we got going. Then we were asked if we wanted to leave at the same time or add an hour onto the tour, but one family had to get back, so it was agreed to compromise at 30 mins extra time. Once we were in, those ladies also left us, and we were left with a male tour guide who talked and talked about the most random information of no interest. We were being overtaken by everyone in there. So we were a little frustrated, knowing we already had less time, and we were stuck with him telling us useless information. By the time he finished, there wasn’t a whole lot of time left for the gardens. This place is massive. When it was getting close to the agreed leaving time, we left for the bus. Only to sit on the bus for 30minutes! We didn’t end up leaving early. But nobody said anything. So we could have had more time inside! And then we were dropped off at some random point with no idea where we were. Tip for not so smart people like myself…there is more than one NotreDame. I saw it in the instructions for the meeting point and went to the cathedral! Luckily we managed to get a taxi to the correct one, a small church in complete opposite direction, and made it just in time. Also finishing point is not really near anything. Closest attraction is Arc de Triomphe. To give you an idea of location. Overall good day out, but a little unorganised at Versailles. And tour guide could cut back on the useless information!
