Good experience, you need the full day. - The Impressionist Day at Giverny (Monet) was great. Tour guide gave full information. Audio guide was okay but we already knew more details than the audio guide had (due to extensive pre-reading), so some of audio tour we ended up skipping. We liked having the full day, we concluded half day would not be enough. If you want to enjoy the garden, house, lunch, grave, and museum of impressionism, you need the full day tour. We departed Paris on time at 8:15am, and the bus left Giverny at 6pm arriving back to drop-off point in Paris at 7:25pm. Note the return time is not specified by Paris City Vision ahead of time, so I am putting it in the review to give you an idea of return time. Note the half day participants would have had to head back to their bus at about 11:40am and I made a note, at that time we were looking inside the house, and we were only about halfway done with the house. It would have been way too little time! In the end, we arrived back for 6pm pickup about 40 minutes early, so it was just a tiny bit too much time, but given how they bring in the afternoon group and then you return with that group, there's no way they can have a 5pm return bus - but in case they could, I offer my suggestion that a 5pm bus return would have been just about perfect timing for us.

Tour of Giverny - Overall it was well-executed though I would not recommend the full-day tour. We had seen everything in Giverny & visited most of the little shops with about 2.5h to spare. Our tour was unguided and we did not feel we missed anything.

Once in a lifetime experience! - This all day tour can’t be beat. Early morning access to the house and gardens was not crowded. Had enough time to really see and experience the site. Lunch was delicious and the village charming.

A dream come true! (But be prepared) - Our visit to Giverny was the reason we included a return to Paris on this trip to Europe! And seeing Monet's gardens and the water lily pond truly was the highlight!! Just being in the gardens and the water lily pond where Monet stood and painted so many beautiful works was awesome. We arrived about 9:40 and were taken through the group entrance into the Monet estate. It was a beautiful day, and so it was very crowded. Our guide gave us our vouchers for the House, lunch, and afternoon break. We were not advised that we should see the House first, and so because the lines were so long and so disorganized, we strolled through the gardens and then around the water lily pond for some 90 minutes. When we got back to the House at 11:10, it was still so crowded that we knew we could not get through it and make our noon lunch reservation. (We were told that we must be at the restaurant at noon for our lunch.) So we had to skip seeing the House. We then headed for the church and cemetery. And then off to lunch, but couldn't find the restaurant as there is no on-street signage (and no address on our voucher). At the restaurant, they accommodated us even though we were about 15 minute late. Then we had the afternoon to see the Musee d'Impressionism and the village, which is really quaint. We visited the Mechanical Museum filled with farm equipment and engines and such. And we enjoyed our afternoon treat. We thought about paying again to go see Monet's House but the lines to buy tickets were very long and we didn't know how long it would take to get through the House. It would be helpful to have a later lunch time (1:00-1:30) as well as more specifics on what to expect for the lines to go in the House. We might have opted to see the house rather than going to lunch. As such, we definitely recommend the full day tour. You need time to visit Monet's house, gardens and water lily pond at your own pace.

Highlight of our Paris trip! - We all felt that this was the highlight of our trip to Paris. To see the Monet house and gardens was just a beautiful experience. We booked the all day trip with lunch and an afternoon tea. Our bus trip was comfortable, and we were well taken care of by our tour guides. Lunch was a wonderful 3 course meal after visiting Monet’s house, and we had plenty of time to explore the impressionist museum as well as the church and Monet’s tomb. Definitely recommend taking the all day tour!!

Download the app before you go if on the self-guided tour - Overall, our experience was nice. However, it would have been better if the tour company provided listening devices/ear buds as an option rather than rely on our phones to download an app. Even though I have a good international phone plan, I was unable to fully load the app in Giverny and noticed others had difficulty as well. That said, I was not able to listen to the narration on the self-guided tour until I returned to the hotel. I would definitely try to download the app ahead of time and bring earbuds.

Giverny All Day Tour - Self guided tour which was perfect visit for us. You definitely need more than 1.5 hrs to tour Gardens and Monet’s house. Tour guide gave good instructions ONCE we arrived. What was unhelpful was the lack of instruction on HOW TO USE the audio guide before arrival. We had no idea that we could listen to the prerecorded guide on the ride there. There was also no commentary on our trip to or from Giverny, unless you were on the pink, green or brown tour. This was unfriendly and unacceptable. There were 4 different tours on our bus. We had to wait 15 minutes for our guide to dispatch the three tours first. This arrangement was unprofessional. And please instruct your guides to give more information like whether there is a bathroom on board the bus and general safety information about the bus exits. .

Giverny experience - This trip was not what was described in the site. It said that there would be no more than 9 travellers, but when we arrived at Paris City vision we were put on a double decker bus with about 60 people. No alcohol or tea or coffee were provided either. Water was provided with lunch. The gardens were lovely but we had to leave by 12.30 for lunch and couldn't return.

BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK - BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK. I have never written a bad review in my life, but this place warrants it. This was an extremely scary experience that put a huge damper on my trip to Paris. I booked a full day at Monet's Gardens, but they put me on a bus with people who had only booked a half-day. I was told halfway through the bus ride that I would need to find the second "afternoon" bus to get back to Paris. The tour guide gave me zero information on what the bus looked like, who the second guide would be, and didn't provide me with a name or phone number. She simply said "Just get here before 5:45pm and look around, you'll find it. The bus leaves at 5:45pm." I waited in that parking lot from 5pm to 6pm - a full hour - and asked every single bus driver in the lot. Nobody was with Paris City Vision. I was completely alone 2 hours outside of Paris, and I kept calling their customer service line but nobody picked up. I texted their WhatsApp, but nobody answered. I tried to get in touch with the tour guide, but she didn't pick up either. Eventually I had to call an Uber, which cost me $140. I've spoken to other people who've had similar experiences with Paris City Vision. Their customer service is virtually nonexistent, and you have to repeatedly call and email them over and over to even get a response. They finally looked into the situation and found that their tour guide had indeed given me the wrong time, but STILL refused to pay me back for my Uber. They essentially messed up on their end, I had to pay for it, and then they didn't absolutely nothing about it. Again, have never written a bad review in my life. But there's a certain way to treat people, and this is not it. I've never felt so snubbed and disrespected by a company before. Again, book at your own risk - this isn't the first time someone has been stranded because of a mess-up on their end.

Giverny fabulous; tour company not so much. - The gardens at Giverny are exquisite and if you love gardens, you'll love this setting. Be advised, however, that there is no re-entry once you leave. There is a great and large gift shop. We bought the full day trip including lunch because we thought it would be easier on us. However, the tour guide moved so fast, that I had to run to catch her. By that point, she had finished with instructions on full day tour. The full day tour is self-guided. She took off with half-day tour and after catching up to her, she extremely quickly repeated instructions. No map of the village was provided and, consequently, we did not find the additional places we had tickets for. We believed the 3 tickets (provided by the tour company) we were handed for lunch, snack and museum, were in order of use. We had to be at lunch at precisely noon and looked for the 1st ticket destination. Forty-five minutes later, we found it and it was not lunch place but snack place. The clerk at the snack spot was very kind and said this happened ALL THE TIME. We never found the lunch spot. We tried to go back into the garden but there is no re-entry allowed; the guide failed to mention that. Also, we could not get into the gift shop. We never made it to the museum. We bought our own lunch as there are additional restaurants in the village. A potentially grand day ruined by poor tour company. Don't buy this package but do go to the gardens at Giverny.
