Paris - 07:30 Hotel pick up and departure to the Loire Valley. There are 180 km to drive on the highway by our comfortable air-conditioned Mercedes minivan to reach the first Castle Chambord. It takes about 2.5 hours with one stop at the rest area. The Guide will provide general information about French history connected to the Castles of the Loire Valley.

Chateau de Chambord - 10:00 - 12:00 Visit of Chateau de Chambord. The Guide will share the history of the Castle and its construction. The Château de Chambord is one of the most popular castles because of its French Renaissance architecture. The building was constructed from 1519 to 1547 by Francis I (Francois 1-er) and is now the largest castle with its 440 rooms, 282 fireplaces, and 84 staircases. The castle is also known for its open double-spiral staircase. The two spirals ascend the three floors without ever meeting. Leonardo da Vinci may have designed the staircase. 11:45 Departure to Amboise city. There is a 1-hour drive (60 km).

Walk the Avenue of Champagne, which attracts many tourists. 13:30 Departure to Hautvillers village. It takes 10 minutes (6 km).

Hautvillers - 13:40 - 14:10 Visit the Abbey’s Church of Sindulphe of the Abbey Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers. It is a former Benedictine monastery. The Abbey was founded in 665 and remained active till the French Revolution in 1789. Dom Perignon developed the wine-making methods in the region of Champagne. Nowadays, there are 26 local Champagne producers in the village. 14:00 Stop at the viewpoint with the best panoramic views over the vineyards and Marne river. 14:10 Departure to Reims.
