Chateau de Chambord - 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Explore Château de Chambord. Your guide will discuss the history and architectural features of this renowned castle, constructed between 1519 and 1547 by Francis I. Celebrated for its French Renaissance style, the castle includes 440 rooms, 282 fireplaces, and 84 staircases. A highlight is the double-spiral staircase, possibly designed by Leonardo da Vinci, where two spirals ascend without intersecting.

12:00 PM: Head to Blois city. The drive is approximately 20 minutes (17 km).

Blois - 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Arrive in Blois city for a lunch break. Enjoy free time to explore and dine at a local restaurant. Recommendations for dining can be provided.

Chateau Royal de Blois - 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Visit Château de Blois. The Royal Château of Blois, situated in the heart of Blois city, was home to several French kings. Joan of Arc visited in 1429 to receive a blessing from the Archbishop of Reims before battling the English. The castle showcases four distinct architectural styles and contains 564 rooms, including 100 bedrooms with fireplaces and 75 staircases.

3:30 PM: Depart for Winery Plou et Fils. The journey is about 30 minutes (30 km).

Plou Et Fils - 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM: Enjoy a wine tasting at a local family winery with a long history. Discover the traditional wine-making process and sample at least 7 local wines, including red, rosé, and white, with expert commentary.

4:45 PM: Travel to your hotel in Amboise for accommodation. Enjoy some free time to relax and explore the charming city.

Chateau de Chenonceau - 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Arrive and tour Château de Chenonceau. Benefit from skip-the-line access with a guide to this famous “ladies’ castle,” associated with influential women like Catherine de Medici. 11:00 AM: Depart from Château de Chenonceau to Amboise city, a brief 20-minute drive (14 km).

Choose from a wide selection for a relaxing lunch. Assistance with reservations at top restaurants is available if desired.

Chateau Royal d’Amboise - 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Enjoy skip-the-line access with a guide to Château Royal d’Amboise. Using a Histopad, your guide will narrate the history of this magnificent 15th-century castle, a prime example of the transition from Gothic to Renaissance architecture. Learn about its role as the birthplace of princes, the residence of kings, and the final resting place of Leonardo da Vinci, who passed away here in 1519. Visit his grave in the chapel and explore rooms that recount his life and work.

3:30 PM: Walk 400 meters to Château du Clos Lucé, where Leonardo spent his final years.

Le Chateau du Clos Luce - Parc Leonardo da Vinci - 3:45 PM - 5:30 PM: Tour Château du Clos Lucé with Parc Leonardo da Vinci. This castle, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last three years, is just 400 meters from Château Royal d’Amboise and connected by an underground passage. Built in 1471 by Hugues d’Amboise, it was once owned by King Charles VIII before being gifted to Leonardo by Francis I in 1516. Today, it is a museum dedicated to da Vinci’s life, work, and legacy. In 1559, Catherine de Medici compelled Diane de Poitiers to exchange Château de Chenonceau for Chaumont, where Diane spent her last three years.
