Matteo is the Louvre tour guide to hire - Matteo was a great guide. He speaks great English and took us to all the major highlights that the Louvre has to offer and did it in a 2 hour tour. Highly recommend Matteo!

Great highlights tour - Matteo was very knowledgeable and picked out all the highlights that you would need to see without it being rushed. The Louvre is so big that it would take a few days to do everything. This is a perfect taster with all the main stops included. The group is small which makes this excellent value and a more personal experience.

Very vague instructions and no communication - We were given the instructions the night before, but they were so vague we had no clue what exactly we were supposed to do or look for. We arrived at the Louvre an hour early to hopefully find our tour guide, but after talking to every tour guide we could find in the area they told us to be at we couldn’t find our tour guide! We even stayed half an hour past our tour time hoping someone would call or message or even show up late but there was no sign of any tour guide. We were very disappointed.

Tour cancelled with little notice - Tour guide cancelled our tour less than 24 hours from tour time… left us scrambling to find another tour that fit our schedule on short notice. We booked this tour a while ago and it was very disappointing to get the message cancelling the tour without providing another option. This experience will affect my future use of viator .
