Additional Information

There are many ways to experience the famous Louvre. Choose your favorite!

You can explore at your own pace with a timed-entry ticket after taking a guided walking tour around the Louvre. On this tour, you’ll learn what the Louvre was before it was the world’s largest art museum, and you’ll see sights like the Tuileries Gardens, the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, the Cour Carrée, and more. It’s a great intro to your self-guided visit inside the museum.

If you prefer to go with a guide, opt for our guided tour inside the Louvre. We also offer a semi-private tour option with no more than six guests, so you get even more dedicated time with your guide, who can customize the tour to your interests. Your expert guide will make sure you not only see the best works — the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, the Crown Jewels, and more — they’ll share the history and stories behind the artwork to enrich your experience and make your visit truly memorable.

  • Elevators and escalators are periodically being repaired and may be closed for service and therefore can be unpredictable.

Louvre without the Garden Tour due to Olympia games - In Paris everything was a little chaotic due to the olympic summer games. Many sections were closed and the wonderful lady who was our guide had to freestyle. She did so well, she really was there for us and got us into Louvre, giving us valuable backround information and taking care.

Great guide and tour - Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We only had a small group of 6 which made tour more personable. Due to large crowds it was sometimes hard to hear..

Not good enough. I might as well have bought the tickets directly, and at a much cheaper rate, with the audio guide. - There was some history of the French monarchy, and events leading to the revolution. However, for the amount of monies paid, I expected to have a tour guide inside the museum to give some context on the important artworks. I saw other tourists with guides inside by the way.
