Have never booked formal guided tour before - will definitely do so again and was so glad did so for the Louvre!!
The place was packed to the rafters and yet, in a couple of hours we had seen all the ‘main’ exhibits and had a couple of hours of history and explanation from an amazingly knowledgeable, personable and friendly host - Sylvie!!
Yes, a little expensive, but worth it or you would be wondering around the maze of paintings, sculptures and facts and would not see much!!!

I had the pleasure of... - I had the pleasure of touring the Louvre with one of the best guides I’ve ever encountered. From the moment the tour began, it was clear that our guide was not only incredibly knowledgeable about art history, but also deeply passionate about sharing it. They navigated us through the museum’s vast collection with ease, highlighting both iconic masterpieces like the Mona Lisa and hidden gems I would have otherwise missed.
What stood out most was their courteous and engaging demeanor. They patiently answered every question, no matter how small, and tailored explanations to match our group’s level of interest and understanding. The guide’s storytelling brought the artworks to life, weaving in fascinating historical context and artistic insights without ever feeling overwhelming.
Thanks to their expertise and warmth, the experience was far more enriching than I could have imagined. I left the Louvre not only impressed by the art but also with a deeper appreciation for its history and meaning. Highly recommend booking a tour if you want to make the most of your visit.

Perfect Louvre Tour for Family with Kids - We were nervous booking a Louvre tour travelling with an 11 and 5 year old, but this ended up being the perfect experience! Our guide Ivan was excellent - he was knowledgeable, humorous, and - best of all - able to present the highlight pieces in context to enhance appreciation. For example, we didn’t just see the Mona Lisa, we saw other portraits and landscapes from the periods before the work and then how Da Vinci’s style evolved on those. This theme carried through many of the works we saw. And the tour was just long enough to see the museum but not too long that we were dragging the kids. It was a great way to maximize time at The Louvre while still permitting us to appreciate what we were looking at. Highly recommend!

Sarah was great and we were able to skip massive lines at the Louvre. - This was a great tour and our tour guide, Sarah, did a wonderful job keeping our group together and moving through the Louvre. She was very knowledgeable about the paintings and other items that we saw throughout the museum.
The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 was because we had to wait on several occasions for an individual who arrived late to the tour. The tour specifies that if you are not there when it is time to go, it is your loss. Time in Paris is precious and we did not need to spend substantial time waiting on individuals who can’t abide by the rules of the tour they booked. To be clear, this was not Sarah’s fault. She was being dictated to by the company sponsoring the tour and they should have let her go with the folks who made it on time. Sarah was awesome!

sorry, but this was not worth the money. - It was highly disorganized, with no clear directions on meeting place or who to meet with. After multiple calls i finally figured it out, then it was slow and the guide was a little bit unpleasant. In a very French way, presumptuous and arrogant. It was a waste of money and time...and i would have preferred to have my money back in my pocket. We left the group and went on alone as it was not any substantially more beneficial than doing it ourselves.

Missed the tour - We missed the tour because of misunderstanding in meeting locations. You should provide us the tour operator or give them our phone number in case any thing might happened. Or I might call them in advance because it is in another country with different language and cultures
