Don’t skip this tour of Normandie - Anne was our guide, and she was phenomenal. Soft spoken on the microphone, she gave us the full linear story/history from the European perspective - and it was detailed and emotionally moving. We also had time to relax in peace and quiet on the comfortable, air conditioned bus, reflecting on the history we were told as we approached the various stops. We had a tight schedule but it was just right. Anne made herself available not only for historical questions, but for questions about restaurants and sights to see in Normandie and Paris, too. She was just a very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable person who made the trip so special. You probably really need a week to see and experience Normandie - but this one-day trip with Anne was a wonderful introduction, making you want to return..

Perfect day trip from Paris - We had a terrific day. Steve our guide was incredible, his knowledge, recommendations and guidance were on point and really contributed to an amazing experience. The Normandy experience is humbling when you think about what it signifies, this tour was a perfect way to really understand what our service men sacrificed for us 80 years ago!

Totally recommend this tour! - I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in a full-day tour of the American sites related to the D-Day landings. Omaha Beach was at high tide so much of it was covered by water, but by the time we got to Juno Beach the tide was out and you could get a sense for how big the landing operation was and how important the timing with the tide was! I did this tour on Veteran’s Day 2023 which made it even more meaningful. Can’t wait to watch “Saving Private Ryan” again! The cemetery is a super sacred and humbling place…war is such a waste of life, but I am grateful for those brave souls that risk and sometimes lose it all to maintain freedom and liberty for those of us who remain…may we always remember and honor their sacrifice. It had rained heavily all week but we lucked out with beautiful weather. I would advise being ready for some rain and wind though as that happens often - bring a small umbrella and/or rain coat/poncho. The drive through the villages and the French countryside was charming. The tour guide was super knowledgeable and the day was well-planned, efficient and enjoyable. The lunch, including the fresh in-season scallops was also awesome (out of pocket). Just the right balance of talking and downtime to soak it all in. The bus was comfortable for the 3+ hour drive each way (we made a stop for bathrooms and refreshments each way) and the driver was also great! Loved it all and would highly recommend this tour!

Changes needed - Three things: First, it wasn’t always easy to understand the guide on the bus. The sound system could be better. Second, we didn’t stop for lunch until after 3pm. Too late, especially if you had dinner reservations for 7 or 8 pm. Lastly, while the Pullman hotel works as the pickup point, it doesn’t work as the drop off point. Traffic, especially in the area of the Eiffel Tower is very bad. Trying to drive a BUS through the middle of Paris at dinner time is not practical. We weren’t dropped off until almost 9pm. Suggest you pick a drop off spot where it’s not too congested.

Poor guide, inexperienced driver. - We knew there would be limited time at the sites of interest, but we would have had more time to roam if the guide had given background info during the lengthy bus ride, instead of speaking quietly at the sites while we struggled to get close enough to hear him. Bus driver had trouble in some tight situations.

TOTAL FAIL - TOTOL FAIL..Very cramped bus seats. Knowledgable but cold guide. He arrived 30 minutes late due to "car trouble". Cracked front bus windsheild, but the topper was when an emergency exit skylight in rhe bus exploded. No problem, after a 45 minute delay, drive on with the rain dropping in to the bus. No apologies at all...
