Construction began after 1238, and the chapel was consecrated on April 26, 1248. Guests choosing this option will have time for photos and a brief introduction to this exquisite Gothic masterpiece’s exterior, followed by a 60-minute interior visit.

Conciergerie - Guests will stop to take photos and enjoy an introduction to the old Paris prison where Marie Antoinette was held for nine months. It was here that the Revolutionary Tribunal sentenced 2,639 people to execution by guillotine during the Reign of Terror in the French Revolution.

Tour de l’Horloge - Guests will learn about this 650-year-old clock, initially a watchtower for the Royal Palace’s security. The rectangular, massive structure stands 47 meters high, with walls nearly a meter thick. The Clock Tower has undergone extensive restorations, from 1840 to 1843 to consolidate the lower part and establish a guardhouse at its base, between 1843 and 1848, and again between 1860 and 1861, restoring its medieval appearance, especially in its upper parts. The vaulted room on the fourth floor and the upper level of the tower were completely restored.
