A fun and educational “work out”! - Welly was such a fun tour guide! We knew that the tour was going to be 150 minutes and came in prepared with walking shoes and jackets. Welly led us through Paris, letting us know we could tweak the path as needed, but as it was our first and only night in Paris, we just wanted to hit the top spots. Welly was so informative and truly had a passion for French history, which was apparent in his explanations of the various spots - it seems like he knew something about every location! He also stopped and made sure we took pictures at every amazing photo spot and we’ll cherish these pictures for a long time. Book with Welly and you’ll have a fun and educational “work out” aka a 150 minute walk.

A wonderful evening - This was a fantastic evening! We are here during the torch arrival and Bastille day so our tour took a few unplanned turns due to road closures but Izabele was AMAZING!! I would recommend anybody and everybody to take his tour!!

Insiders tour - Was shown so many local places away from the crowds that I don’t ant to return to. She also provided a great list recapping our tour and additional recommendations n restaurants, bars, local spots, and museums not on typical tourist lists. Highly recommend!

A good start of your vacation in Paris - I booked the „A magical evening in Paris: City Tour“ with Giedre. It was a good experience on the first day of my vacation in Paris which gave me a first impression of the city and a basic understandig of some of its monuments and its architecture.
The tour started at 7.30 PM and went for 2,5 hours. The meeting point was easy to find and the communication before the tour went smoothly.
Giedre is originally from Lithunia but has been living and working in Paris for quite some time. She knows a lot about the city – history and present - and is also very enthusiastic about it which makes it fun to listen to her. Among the sites which we explored during the tour were the Opera, Place Vendome, Comedie Francaise, Palais Royal and Louvre. But we spoke also about current topics such as the housing situation in Paris and the forthcoming Olympic games.
Giedre also provided me with valuable information for my further activities in Paris. For instance, I got detailed information on the flea market at Saint Ouen.
In conclusion, I can onyl recommend to book a tour with Giedre as a perfect start of your journey to Paris.

Magical night walk tour - It was an appropriately timed tour with Andrea walking the Boulevards, the charismatic operas, the glittering malls. He has a vast knowledge on the history of Paris, Social, Geo-political & other fields..including few family connections

Andrea absolutely seems to hate America - Our guide Andrea had average knowledge of Paris but the main issue was he consistently put down the United States and talked to us several times as if we were beneath him in some way. Very strange behavior. We almost left him several times but hung in there. We still chose yo hive him 50 euro tip so we didn't stoop to his poor level. He did leave another 100 euros on the table though due to his total lack of respect.

Drunk guide, felt unsafe, canceled after 20 min, no refund - I was extremely disappointed with this experience. First, leading up to the tour, our guide wanted to switch the location of our meet, which was okay, but he did not want to show us the sites listed on the description, but told us this tour was not for sightseeing but “Usually on this type of tour people are looking for places to have fun at night.” After explaining that I was traveling with my elderly mother-in-law and my teenage daughter and we only wanted to see the pretty sights with the very limited amount of time we had (only one evening), he assured me he could do that.
We arrived right on time to our (new) meeting spot, but our guide was not communicative in the half hour before and arrived 10 minutes late. When he did arrive, his introduction included him telling us he was very drunk. He told us he had been waiting on us all day (tour was to start at 9pm, we showed up on time after having been up and traveling since 6am, he did not) in the city because he loved too far out to go home and come back, he is very stressed and busy, so he decided to enjoy himself and drink the whole day. I asked him if he was “okay” to do the tour, and he assured me he was, so we have him a chance.
After 20 minutes of him repeating himself, stumbling and weaving, and apologizing for being drunk, I was not comfortable nor did I feel safe, so I told him we were canceling the rest of the tour. He continued to make excuses by text after we separated ourselves from him.
From the start of the tour, I had been messaging with my travel agent who helped me book, and she was appalled by his behavior and encouraged us to seek a refund from the tour operator. We did request a refund through Viator, and we were denied.
I did not want to leave a negative review as I work with small businesses and know the power of reviews, but as I am left with no avenue to talk with the company who hired the guide in question directly, only through Viator, I feel like this is the only avenue I have to let that company and other potential guests know that this tour we were so looking forward to made our one night in Paris underwhelming to say the least.

No-show by Guide Anna in Paris - Stay away from With locals and Anna! We chose Anna for our evening walking tour in Paris , booking several months in advance. We arrived at the designated spot a few minutes before 6pm, walking an hour to get there in time. After 15 minutes waiting for Anna, I looked up the original confirmation email and found her number. I then WhatsApped her, asking if there was a problem. She responded in 1 minute saying that the tour had been cancelled. Just when I was wondering whether I had missed a communication earlier in the day, I saw a regular text message pop up from Anna saying that the tour had been cancelled, written 2 minutes after I had contacted her (not before the tour was to have begun). You can't cancel an event after it was to have begun! That's a no-show on the part of the tour guide, a failure to do one's job, a failure to care that people plan their time in Paris carefully and lose a critical time slot when a tour guide and company fail to produce what they market on-line. More than 24 hours later, I have received nothing from Withlocals addressing this issue or offering a refund. Because the tour did not occur, they did not send me a request for a review, so they may think they are insulated from negative reviews related to their mismanagement. Be careful of this company.
