Moulin Rouge - Why is the Moulin Rouge the most famous cabaret when there are many more in the neighbourhood?
For this, imagine yourself in the Paris of the French Cancan, the period of the painter Toulouse Lautrec and
Maxim’s; imagine yourself in the period of “La Belle Époque”:
During the Belle Époque new concepts like aviation, the telephone and even the cinema were some of the
many things invented. It was a prosperous era and the people wanted to have fun and the cabarets competed
to attract many people:
The Moulin rouge was the first to have electricity on its stage so that already made it very modern. - Montmartre - Charcuterie: a visit to one of the last butchers in the area is a must. We’ll start our tour with a selection of high-quality charcuterie, eating together for a French-style picnic.
- Montmartre - Cheese: you’ll finally understand why French cheese is so famous. On our tour, you’ll be able to sample some of the most popular French cheeses, including Comté, Camembert and Roquefort.
- Montmartre - Boeuf Bourguignon: slow-cooked beef stew made with tender chunks of beef braised in red wine, typically Burgundy wine, along with a variety of vegetables and herbs.
- Montmartre - Keepsake: small round cakes, inspired by meringues. The base is made from almond powder, sugar and eggs. The pastry is then baked in the oven until golden brown. So, have you guessed what they are? Join us and find out!
- Montmartre - Dessert: crêpes to suit all tastes: deliciously sweet, soft and warm, simply sweetened or filled with chocolate or jam. Enjoy your crêpe with a breathtaking view of the Sacré-Coeur.

A fun way to experience Montmartre - Thibault was a great guide. We’ve been to Montmartre many times but this was our first tour. Very good value. Delicious food.

Beautiful surprise - My husband was kind enough to surprise me with this food tour. Montmartre is a very interesting neighborhood that has a lot of history. Our guide Emy was charming. We liked the tastings. Nothing is missing from this food tour, we highly recommend it.

Eat great food, walk and learn about the Montmartre district - The food was fantastic. A sample of what to eat while in Paris. Thibaut was so much fun. He was very knowledgeable about the Montmartre district, polite, and easy to talk to

Excellent Tour/Great Food - This was a fabulous walking tour of Montmartre with an excellent curation of eateries. We considered several food tour options when planning our trip to Paris, we selected this on as the starting location (Le Moulin Rouge) and ending location (Sacré-Cœur) allowed us to visit two places on our must-see list in one tour. The food and atmosphere of each stop was a perfect depiction of Parisian flare, culture and ambiance. Our guide, Catherine was a gem and shared in-depth history and several little know facts of the area and the food. Will definitely request Catherine for any future tours when we are back in Paris.

Exceptional food tour with Emy - We had a great time, this food tour is exceptional. Between the cheese, beef bourguignon, crepes, cream puffs and macaroons, we were very satisfied. Emy is very attentive to our needs, she made us laugh a lot and explained many things to us about Montmartre and French customs.

Definitely would recommend - Food was amazing and tour guide was very knowledgeable. Didn’t give a 5 because of the number of steps you had to go up. Definitely would recommend but seniors need to consider walking and steps.
