See also the country side with fields of grass, wheat and canola, with few Norman cows. Pass through the village of Vetheuil, where Claude Monet used to live with his first wife Camille DONCIEUX, before he bought his house in Giverny and before he became famous. It’s a very interesting insight into the overall context of Claude Monet’s life. Once in Giverny, your guide will take you through the gardens, with over 1,000 different species of flowers and the water lily pond, then to the house where the artist used to live with his family, then see Claude Monet’s worshop, where the souvenir shop is now located.
