A magical Parisian market and home cooking experience! - Catherine had us start our morning in the most beautiful, fresh, well stocked market I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to many:) I will never forget the way I felt with her as we made our way thru every section. Catherine was passionate in telling us about how each product was labeled as to know the quality and origin of every item. We then walked to her home thru a quaint neighborhood. She involved us in cooking a delicious traditional French 3 course meal in the comfort of her beautiful home. I will recommend Catherine and this unforgettable experience she provides, to anyone that is traveling to Paris.

Cooking class with a personal touch! - What a privilege!!!! My husband and I were welcomed into Catherine’s beautiful apartment in the 16th, as if we were guests in her home. We prepared a traditional French lunch of galettes de courgettes, pan roasted chicken with a cream sauce and mushrooms. The piece de resistance was a fine pastry filled with baked apples and other ingredients. Magnifique! Afterward we dined together in her lovely Belle Epoque salle a manger sipping a lovely white Bordeaux, with birdsong filtering in through the open window to the street. Catherine made recommendations for local restaurants and sites to see. We spoke of our families and traded stories. The only low moment was having to leave! This cooking class was unlike any other because we felt like we were having lunch with Leslie Caron

Fun, relaxed, enjoyable, delicious experience! - Catherine is so lovely, knowledgeable, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment with her. First, she was very responsive as I reached out to her in advance to share foods we wanted to consider for our meal. She was waiting for us at the Market even though we arrived early! The market visit was incredible… I wish we would have experienced it earlier in the week to help me shop at a market with more knowledge and confidence. She is easy and interesting to talk with and made us all feel right at home… offering espresso before we started cooking. She involved everyone in preparing the meal as she described what and why we were doing things… answering our questions along the way. The meal was delicious and something we can do ourselves at home! Who knew?!?! The entire experience was relaxed, and enjoyable as we learned and ultimately enjoyed a wonderful lunch! Thank you Catherine, you are a sweet memory of our Paris trip.

Amazing Experience!! - We had the most incredible experience cooking with Catherine. My daughter (12) and I spent a few days in Paris and since she’s passionate about cooking, I wanted her to experience a cooking class in Paris. We spent a wonderful morning in Catherine’s beautiful apartment, preparing a 3-course meal. Catherine was lovely, patiently showing my daughter how to prepare everything and letting her work independently. We ate together and discussed French cuisine and got recipe tips from Catherine. I highly recommend this experience, it truly was the highlight of our trip!

Disappointed - I liked the simple approach to our appetizer and dessert. They were the highlights. We didn't purchase any food from the fresh market but enjoyed looking at the fresh seafood. We probably spent more time at the market than we did cooking lunch. The main course was really disappointing; Stuffed zucchini and tomato. The filling was very dry. It was chopped chicken and ground beef with lots of chopped onion (more onion than meat), 1 scrambled egg and a little Herbes Provence. This was so tasteless and that is why the low score. Catherine was very charming and so was her home, but I wouldn't recommend this as it was quite costly and not worth it. Also, her unsharpened knives made it very difficult to cut anything. That's an accident waiting to happen.

RIPOFF - SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Met Catherine at market thinking we would buy things for our lunch and discuss a menu WRONG! Menu was never discussed and nothing was purchased. We were one couple and a good thing as more wouldn’t fit in the kitchen.
Appetizer was a thin egg roll like wrap the had two slices of goat cheese and a bit of paprika. She had one mini zucchini (our least favorite squash) & two small tomatoes. Hamburger & chicken was at the ready to be sautéed with a small amount of onion and an egg for the stuffing . NO SEASONING. Bland as hell!
Dessert was a no brainer with gingersnap crust, a few raspberries topped with whipped cream. Packaged Fake vanilla added to the cream. This took less than ten minutes to make and was quite delish.
When it was time to eat Catherine brought out an opened bottle of wine 3/4’s full that was barely mediocre.
There was nothing FRENCH about this poor meal! Having taken several cooking classes in different countries and really enjoyed them. This was expensive and super disappointing.
AND, for a French cook, she had never heard of Julia Child (granted, she was not French but wrote several cookbooks on the subject) nor Jacques Pepin’.
This was a total ripoff!
