Accompanied by your professional guide, you will explore the Museum’s three departments: Sully, Denon, and Richelieu. In the Sully wing, you’ll uncover the oldest section of the Museum, immersing yourself in the Middle Ages. The Denon department features magnificent Greek statues such as Venus de Milo and Victoire de Samothrace, along with Italian paintings. The Italian Gallery, nearly 1 km long, showcases works by renowned Italian masters like Da Vinci, Raphael, Caravaggio, and Veronese. Further along, you’ll find intricate details of Napoleon’s Coronation. David’s monumental painting depicts the Emperor’s Coronation at Notre Dame Cathedral.

A spectacular evening - Request Olga - We were absolutely delighted with our evening tour with Olga. As we had landed in Paris about five hours before the tour started, we were jet lagged and a little disoriented, but the incredibly informative and personalised tour was a fantastic way to get our Parisian short stay started. My husband was not very ‘into art’ until he meet Olga - she explained the fine details of composition, colour, symbolism and figure placement in such a manner that drew him into the world of art appreciation and he left in awe of the great works he had seen. His favourite painting is now Scene from a Deluge whilst I loved Prud’hon - The Soul Breaking the Ties that Bind Her to Earth. Olga took us to the ‘big’ items - Mona Lisa, Coronation of Napoleon etc, but it was the quick dash to see The Impressionist paintings that won me over. Renoir and Monet’s monochromatic - I cried with joy! From the moment we entered via the lower level and discovered the original fortifications of the city of Paris we knew that we were going to have an experience to remember for the rest of our lives. The Louvre itself is a masterpiece and you need an experienced expert in both art and navigation to get the most out of a once-off trip. If you can afford it, it is worth every penny - request Olga as your guide and let her delight you with the opportunity to immerse yourself into French history and the beauty of The Louvre. Private tour of the Lourve - Ludovic was an excellent tour guide for our trip to the louvre. He knew his way around the massive museum and was able to show us many masterpieces in our 2 1/2 hour tour. He shared with us his extensive knowledge about French history, the history of the louvre building and the many masterpieces that that the museum has. We had many wonderful tours while in Paris but the family agrees that Ludovic gave us the best tour of the trip. He was a delight!

Impressive collection - Our guide Joseph was great. He was very likable and informative. The collection of the Louve is vast and impressive. Skip the line feature was great. Maybe should have done the earliest morning tour for less crowds.
