Fantastic Tasting Tour! - Our tasting tour with Alpha was fantastic! Highly recommend! Alpha introduced us to foods and markets we would never have discovered on our own. She was friendly and fun to talk with and learn more about Paris and Parisiennes.

Gastronomic pleasure - Alpha was a terrific guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The food choices were perfect and the venues wonderful.

Amazing experience! - So happy we chose to do this food tour with Anukool! He took us to a local neighborhood with deliciously fresh food! From the pastries to the cheese, tepenade and wine to the crepes and quiche- everything was incredible! So incredible that we went back to the same neighborhood's that evening to buy more food for dinner from the same places! Any Koop made it a fabulous day that we will remember forever!

The walking food tour was great. The Guide was knowledgable, friendly, and gave me the help I needed without being ov or - This was a great experience. The guide was very knowledgable, and personable. He wasn't put off by the fact that I am blind, and gave me the assistance I needed without being overbearing. The food places were amazing and I am glad I did this one!

A walking tour with a little food & wine - We have been on several tasting tours including Venice, Tokyo, etc and enjoyed them very much. This tour was not what we expected based on other experiences. We were two couples in late 70's, and in good health. Our Guide was a very nice, knowledgeable, & interesting young Lady. We began the tour in a nice cheese shop with only two types of cheese offered. The shop employees were unfriendly, were not introduced, and acted like we were in imposition..There were no tables or chairs and we stood to eat our cheese. Another stop was a nice bake shop the baked goods were good and the shop owners were very friendly and welcoming... Again we stood to eat. We stopped in 6 different food locations ending in a seafood restaurant where the only two food items offered were raw smoked salmon and cold sea snails. These items were fine but not enjoyed by all. The walking part of the tour Wes over five miles which was a surprise and a bit much for a couple members of our group. I would suggest more food and less walking Our group of 4 paid over $500 for a mostly walking tour.

I was limited to 25 euros to spend. - In a food tour, one shouldn’t be limited an amount to be spent. If we count locations, we stopped at two places and didn’t have 6 tastings. I am a bit dissatisfied.

Not "Local" at all - disappointing waste of time and money - My experience with the “award-winning Private food tour with 6 tastings” was terrible and very similar to a recent review by Alex. I selected the tour based on numerous good reviews but unfortunately it was a flop that cost us a lot of money and wasted time. I had booked the tour for myself and my daughter, my sister-in-law and my niece who had all met in Paris for a special Mother’s Day weekend. To start things off our guide was late to the designated meeting point. She then told us we were going to walk to the subway and take it to an entirely different location - and told us to go and purchase our tickets. We were very confused as to why we met at one location and then had to waste at least 15 minutes each way to get to another location during a short 2 hour tour. The new location had no street life or vibe and we didn’t even walk around but entered the restaurant on the first corner after coming up from the subway. After our guide argued with the host about a table for us, we were served a 3 course meal. During the meal, our guide did not tell us anything about French life or food or the city but wanted to know what our expectations were for the tour. She did not even know anything about the food we were eating. She had nothing “local” to tell us (she had lived in Paris for 10 years and had only worked for Withlocals for two weeks) clearly did not even know the format for a tasting tour. We were getting very frustrated at this point and pulled up the listing of the tour to show her. She stated that she had received no information that matched the description and seemed to have no guidelines for how to conduct the tour. We spent an hour there basically hearing about her experience as a tour guide and letting her know that it really wasn’t living up to our expectations. After our meal we made our way across the street to a bakery where she purchased a couple of baguettes for us with the promise of some cheese “if we can find it”. We never did because at this point we were almost out of time - we had to get back to our meeting point. When we came up from the subway she spotted a macaron shop and let us select some of the cookies to take with us. She then handed us the bag of baguettes and that was it! We could not believe that we had just spent several hours of our short time in the beautiful, historic city of Paris in a strange location which had no street life with a woman who did not share one bit of local information.  I did reach out directly to Withlocals and TripAdvisor to request a refund but received a bit of a runaround before my claim was rejected.
