• Epernay - 12:00 - 13:30 Lunch in Épernay. You can spend time on your own or we can make a restaurant reservation for you. Épernay is known as the Champagne Capital of France. Located along the Marne and surrounded by wine hills, it is home to many of the region’s most prestigious champagne houses. Épernay is a must-visit for wine and champagne lovers. Walking along the Avenue of Champagne attracts many tourists.
  13:30: Departure to Hautvillers village. The trip takes 10 minutes (6 km).
• Abbaye Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers - 13:40 - 14:10 Visit the Church of Saint-Sindulphe at the Abbey Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers, a former Benedictine monastery. The Abbey was founded in 665 and remained active until the French Revolution in 1789. Dom Perignon developed winemaking methods in the Champagne region. Today, there are 26 local champagne producers in the village. Stop at the viewpoint for the best panoramic views over the vineyards and Marne river.
  14:10 Departure to Reims. The trip takes 30 minutes (28 km).
• Maison Ruinart - 14:45 - 16:45 Visit the Ruinart Champagne house, the first champagne house established in 1729. A guided tour of the UNESCO-listed cellars by local staff provides great insight into the history and champagne production methods.
  16:45 Departure to the nearby Reims Cathedral.
• Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Reims - 17:00 - 17:30 Self-guided visit to Reims Cathedral, where most of the French kings were crowned.
  17:30: Departure to Paris. The trip takes 2 hours (144 km).
