Wow what history in this place - Wow what an amazing experience and something different to do in an extremely tourist driven city. The history here is incredible and it's worth doing a tour rather than just walking through by yourselves as you get to go into a couple of interesting locked to the public areas. Guide was knowledgeable and appeared interested in what she was telling us. Well worth the trip to this area. No suitable for kids under 5

Loved Angel!! - My husband was so excited to do this tour of all the things to see in Paris. Angel was a great tour guide. I love that he’s a history “nerd” because it was so powerful to know the history and intent of the catacombs not just showing you the bones.

Excellent Guide! - Our guide, Leo, was fantastic! The exclusive access included some carvings, a deep well, and a pretty arched support structure. I don’t regret buying the behind the scenes ticket, but it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. I appreciated getting all of the historical background and information from our guide!

Absolutely wonderful - We absolutely loved this. Our guide, Angel, was amazing. He had really intelligent insight. Also, we were able to see areas that the general public could not, and that really added to things. I cannot recommend this enough.

Perfect Tour with Tour Guide Angel. - Had a great experience in the Catacombs. Tour guide Angel has done an amazing job. Super knowledgeable in history and provided a lot of interesting information. Experience was not dull as Angel incorporated humour in some aspects as well, which made the whole experience very lively. Catacombs themselves are also very interesting. Angel provided some fun information about the network of the catacombs, all the tunnels, and funny stories of their use and discoveries within. Highly recommend visiting and splashing out a little extra to visit restricted places as well.

To be seen once in a lifetime, at least. - An exceptional, interesting and rewarding site, for those who like to discover the history of the capital. Sensitive soul, plan a companion... When you think of the hundreds of thousands of dead whose bones lie there, you are quickly moved, even oppressed. Dignity and silence are required. Respect too: bones can be visited by the eye, and only by the eye. Their preservation is at stake if we want to leave these witnesses of the history of Paris to future generations.

Cancellation of our catacombs tour - Unfortunately Viator cancelled our tour to the catacombs. We had already paid but they cancelled it without any explanation? They were good enough to refund our money but just thought an explanation would have been nice.

Don’t book here for the catacombs - DO NOT BOOK THROUGH TRIP ADVISOR OR VIATOR!! Book directly through the catacombs. The problem is, they don’t give you the tickets you paid for. If you’re so much as five minutes late, the tour starts without you, but they leave with your tickets. we were here during the Para Olympics and of course we planned ahead and left an hour and a half early got in an Uber to should’ve taken no longer than 25 minutes. Of course with road closures traffic was really bad and we knew we were not gonna make it on time so I messaged through tripadvisor app multiple times letting them know with no response. Then when we get there, we don’t have the tickets we can’t go in. It’s sold out so we wasted an hour and a half in an Uber in traffic and then we’re told we can’t get in. We’re leaving in two days so we can’t reschedule either. So now there’s no refund and I can’t even go in. I understand the policy if you’re late, but I should at least have access to the tickets that I bought. Call the number provided they were no help. Luckily, the nice lady that works there. Let us buy a couple tickets so we could at least go go. Honestly just get yourself regular tickets with the audio that was great. Don’t waste your money I lost $260! Had good experiences in the past with tripadvisor, just this one place its not the way too go. There were multiple people there in the same situation as us.
