Highlights
  • Paris - Your tour begins in the center of Paris where you’ll meet your guide and small group of travelers. You’ll board a train together for a short ride into the countryside, so you don’t have to worry about making your way to Versailles all by yourself.
  • Palace of Versailles - Once at Versailles, you’ll skip the line and head right into the Palace. Alongside an expert guide, you’ll visit the incredible gilded palace chapel and the King and Queen’s private apartments. As you walk your guide will bring the palace to life with stories of courtly intrigue and royal plots, while also giving you insight into the everyday lives of the people who lived here.
  • The Hall of Mirrors - On your guided tour, of course you’ll see the most famous room at the Palace: the phenomenal Hall of Mirrors. This iconic space pays tribute to France’s political, economic, and artistic success through exquisite paintings that line the hall.
  • Gardens of Versailles - With your guide leading the way, they’ll give you an introduction to the extravagant Palace Gardens and allow you to wander them on your own. Depending on the day you’ll see either the Fountains Show, where the beautiful fountains come to life to music, or the musical Gardens Show. You’ll say goodbye to your guide here. With a roundtrip train ticket to Paris included, enjoy the flexibility of returning to the City of Lights when you wish.
  • The Trianons & The Hamlet - Use your free time to explore the secluded side of Versailles where the royals went for privacy and relaxation. Marie Antoinette frequented this space, in particular the Petit Trianon and the Queen’s Hamlet.
  • Galerie des Carrosses - Admire an impressive collection of lavish coaches used by French royals, including small coaches used for Marie Antoinette’s children. Open on weekends and public holidays.

Wonderful knowledge & overall experience! Highly recommend! - Elliott and Johnny were both fantastic! We loved hearing about Elliott’s Olympic Experience & knowledge of Versailles. Johnny had an incredible wealth of knowledge and was very good at getting us into perfect positions while he told the stories. It was also great being in a small group - made it a much more personal tour. Highly recommended!

Old Fogies Get Schooled - We came during the Olympics and had to negotiate an alternate route to Versailles. However, Ellliott, our initial guide, was prompt and courteous and was willing and ready to give us answers to any questions. Then, we met Johnny, our palace guide, and he was a veritable wealth of information and demonstrated exceptional professional skill and an organized historical approach to the tour which was outstanding. there were so many insights given, it was amazing. The tour was long due to the enormity of the building but enjoyable. We also took about 2-3 hours to view the gardens and the Petit Trianon and were exhausted but happy after the tour. We highly recommend the tour and these tour guides!!

Great Versailles tour - Johnny was a wonderful guide. Gave so much depth and dimension to Versailles. It can be such an overwhelming place but he did a great job explaining the significance of everything. The headsets were also a must since it’s so crowded. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Amazing tour guide! - I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Rosaría was outstanding and extremely personable. She provided us insight that made the tour special and memorable. And, although the palace was packed, she was able to find us the absolute best vantage point in each room.

Wonderful - Our tour guide Karen was very knowledgeable- and pointed us to the right locations. I was fortunate to be in a very small group and throughly enjoyed the history. I have found it makes these travel experiences so much more impactful to pay to go on the smaller tours. Highly recommend.

Walking into the history of France - The size of the garden ! It should be a two day trip. It’s a huge area to cover ; wear comfortable shoes that fit for gravels and bring water and snacks along unless you are well off.
