Highlights
  • Paris - Your tour begins in the center of Paris where you’ll meet your guide and small group of travelers. You’ll board a train together for a short ride into the countryside, so you don’t have to worry about making your way to Versailles all by yourself.
  • Palace of Versailles - Once at Versailles, you’ll skip the line and head right into the Palace. Alongside an expert guide, you’ll visit the incredible gilded palace chapel and the King and Queen’s private apartments. As you walk your guide will bring the palace to life with stories of courtly intrigue and royal plots, while also giving you insight into the everyday lives of the people who lived here.
  • The Hall of Mirrors - On your guided tour, of course you’ll see the most famous room at the Palace: the phenomenal Hall of Mirrors. This iconic space pays tribute to France’s political, economic, and artistic success through exquisite paintings that line the hall.
  • Gardens of Versailles - With your guide leading the way, they’ll give you an introduction to the extravagant Palace Gardens and allow you to wander them on your own. Depending on the day you’ll see either the Fountains Show, where the beautiful fountains come to life to music, or the musical Gardens Show. You’ll say goodbye to your guide here. With a roundtrip train ticket to Paris included, enjoy the flexibility of returning to the City of Lights when you wish.
  • The Trianons & The Hamlet - Use your free time to explore the secluded side of Versailles where the royals went for privacy and relaxation. Marie Antoinette frequented this space, in particular the Petit Trianon and the Queen’s Hamlet.
  • Galerie des Carrosses - Admire an impressive collection of lavish coaches used by French royals, including small coaches used for Marie Antoinette’s children. Open on weekends and public holidays.

Wonderful - Our tour guide Karen was very knowledgeable- and pointed us to the right locations. I was fortunate to be in a very small group and throughly enjoyed the history. I have found it makes these travel experiences so much more impactful to pay to go on the smaller tours. Highly recommend.

Good tour and knowledgeable guide in Versailles - The tour was just as promised. All went well. We were met at meeting spot by someone who ensured we made the train (RER) to Versailles and made sure our group met our tour guide there

Great Tour Leader - Manuel was a great tour leader, we learned so much from him. Tour was well paced (at least the part he could control). He had a great sense of humor, and made us comfortable while leading us through the house and gardens. Aiden did a great job of gathering us together and delivering us to Versailles. The tour was definitely worth the price paid.

Can't take bad photos there - A must see top 5 attraction in Paris. I was reluctant as it's 30 min from Paris, but totally worth it.

You won't regret doing this tour - Violette the guide at Versailles and Andre the chaperon from Paris centre were extremely professional and friendly. The booking states train tix from Paris centre to Versailles but we ended taking a chartered mini bus instead, which is very appreciated. Violette is extremely knowledgeable and took us around a wonderful and informative tour of both the palace and garden grounds. Highly recommended tour which I would definitely repeat in a heartbeat!

Great tour with a great guide - Hugo was the most fantastic host for this tour of Versailles! We started in the gardens and then toured the palace - our guide was so knowledgeable and funny which made it a highlight of our vacation. Perfect amount of time for a tour and extremely well organized. Highly recommend and I hope you get Hugo! He’s amazing!

Beautiful day in Versailles Palace & Gardens - Versailles Palace was very crowed which was challenging for the participants and particularly for the guide. Nonetheless Amélie did an excellent job of describing the history of the times and the personalities of the royal family. The gardens were so very beautiful. Thank you/Merci Amélie!

Definitely worth a visit! - Pros: the Palace and gardens are beautiful and a must see, the last entry time was good as to not feel so crowded (dont get me wrong, there were still definitely crowds - we waited in one bathroom line for 15-20 mins!). Easy comfortable transport from Paris to Versailles. Tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Not so great: there were 2 people in our group who were late, so we waited for them before leaving Paris (reasonable, but they still didn’t show); then we had to wait again for them at the palace as they found other transport… then wait again when they didn’t show up that time either. I’m sure those guests appreciated all the accommodation, but the tour co could’ve done more for those of us who lost a good chunk of our tour time waiting for them. Also not so great was the tour guide was at times hard to understand. None of this should prevent you from going though - we saw what we came to see, learned a few things, and have some great pics and memories!

Cool Tour! - Pretty good tour. I wished the tour went into the issues with the Kings and Queens a bit more. This tour felt a bit rushed.
