Fantastic Somme Battlefields tour with Aaron - We had an amazing tour with Aaron to Somme battlefields. It exceeded our expectations. Aaron was a great host, very knowledgeable and engaging and went out of his way to make our tour special. I would highly recommend this tour especially if you are Australian, so much history there.

Fantastic day understanding what the Australian diggers contributed to in WW1 - Our guide Ollie was fantastic. He provided a very insightful and informative tour for the Australian diggers who sacrificed their lives in the Somme area. This was backed up by his great sense of humour that kept us laughing throughout the day. Highly recommended Ollie.

Excellent Tour & Tour Guide - This was an excellent tour for a number of reasons. The key to the tour being enjoyable was being in the care of our tour guide Aaron. I think, as Aaron served in the military, it is a good way to honour those who sacrificed themselves. He loved showing us and helped remind us that the war was mechanised slaughter. Aaron has a comprehensive knowledge on WW1 and WW2 and for myself and wife as Aussies with family having military experiences we relished the details provided. Sir John Monash centre is an outstanding place to appreciate all about WW1 and a great tribute to Monash who was instrumental for the Allies victory. Touring the sites of graves and sites of intense fighting is not for all but it is a sober reminder of tragedy of war and it becomes personal when you know those men and women were ordinary people. People just like us, yet so brave, so dedicated and so young.

An excellent tour to help us understand our Australian recent war history. - When looking at various tours one could make allowances for parts of a tour not being so good. This tour was excellent. Aaron, makes efforts to know and help everyone enjoy the tour. All due to his love for what he does, his encylopedic knowlege and his desire to honour those who fought for the freedoms we enjoy in democratic governed countries. We knew Sir John Monash was not just a great general for Australian forces but so instrumental for WW1. For us coming from Victoria, Australia it was emotional thinking of the blood bath on windmill Hill and Ponziers and the family member who died just after turning 21. We know everyone dies, and so it is good to reflect on the tragedy of war, life and death. Very good tour.

Memorable and moving - We had a memorable day with our guide, who was knowledgeable and helpful and gave us a good amount of time at each site we visited to appreciate the scale, significance, and horror of what happened there. Our day trip to these WW1 sites was moving and absolutely worth every minute, and we would do it again in a heartbeat.

Amazing small tour of historic WW1 sites - My dad loved this trip! We felt the WW1 tour was much smaller and more personal than the huge WW2 tours we found online. We loved this tour because it was a small bus (with A/C!) instead of a huge tour bus, and there were only two other people on the trip with us. Our tour guide was fantastic, telling us all the stories and history of the places we visited. It also felt like we made it to all the attractions before most of the big tour groups got there so it was quiet and personal. (Beware, the restaurant we went to for lunch that had an attached museum was good, but there was nothing for vegans - which is expected in rural France).
