Highly recommend - We absolutely loved this immersive experience. Taking the bikes into town and getting to purchase items for our picnic was a lovely touch. The day was beautiful, our guide, Julian, was knowledgeable, personable and respectful throughout the day. We would highly recommend this tour with Julian.

Fun and Informative Tour - Family of 4 and we ended up having a private tour with Julien. The tour exceeded our expectations. Julien was extremely knowledgeable about French history and very kind and accommodating. Everything was well timed and we felt like we saw so much. Would definitely recommend this experience!

Versailles tour - We had a great time even thought it started out wet and rainy. The sun came out just in time for our bike rides and garden time. Good history throughout the tour. We enjoyed our time there! Thank you Julian.

Fun day but….. - We enjoyed our day with Julian! He shared so much information with us on Versailles, the Kings, Queens, and life back then. But disappointed that we were not able to go inside of the Queens Hamlet, “Le Hameau de la Rene” as advertised. This area was my favorite and I wanted to see inside her home.

Waste of time - Not very knowledgeable at all. Very little guidance or information. And we wasted so much time while our guide was figuring things out that they should have known. Waste of time. Some of the limited information was blatantly wrong too.

TLDR-don’t waste your money - TLDR-don’t waste your money. You can rent bikes on your own in the palace garden and do the tour yourself. The sights themselves were great! However it was our tour guides first tour and she had absolutely no training. The confusion on what we should do started from the beginning of our tour. We missed our train and had to wait 1/2 hour for the next train. She didn’t inform the tour group of which stop to get off on and just got off-the train was full and our group could have gotten lost easily. When we got off-she didn’t tell us to follow her-she just began walking through the crowd (we were a group of 13) and she had no tour flag to follow. This happened throughout the tour. She didn’t know where our bike rental was or how to get them. Once we sorted that out, she took off on her bike without gathering the group. She only had knowledge of some of the bike paths-we got lost once more during the biking around the pasture lands. The tour was described as getting lunch at the market and having a picnic-we missed the market and at this point everyone was annoyed and requested their tickets to go off on their own to get lunch and tour the palace. If the Tour Guys had her follow along on with an experienced tour guide before taking her own group, it would have helped. I had a group of 7 people (4 adults and 3 teenagers) on the tour and we could have done the trip on our own and saved $650 we spent on the tour. Very unfortunate.

Never again with Viator - The guide was a nice lady but totally unqualified to lead a tour. When we met at the meeting point she did not introduce herself, she did not tell us what we were doing or that we were taking the train, which we missed. My wife suggested to her that she address the group to explain the tour. She did, poorly. Her command of English was very poor. We had taken this tour before with Fat Tires Tours and it was great. She did not know the bike tour and it was more like mountain biking. She was not assertive and wanted the group to make decisions about what to do next. Finally I said, why don't you give us our Chateau entry tickets and train tickets back to Paris. She did that and we were on our own which was superb to her vacillation. I bought 4 tickets which costs me over 400 bucks. I'd like to have my money back. I could have done a better job. Viator, why don't you train your guides. I felt sorry for her.
