Cindy - This tour was absolutely awesome. We are from the US and have a rental car but I wanted to give my husband a day free of driving. Our day included tours of balsamic vinegar and wine making. Our guide spoke English very well and provided us with many details and interesting facts along the way. His driving was excellent especially considering a few unexpected route changes he had to make during the day. The balsamic vinegar tour was incredible and I would urge all visiting this area to take this tour. The history and making of the balsamic vinegar is described in great detail from someone who clearly has a true passion for this product. The winery tour was absolutely amazing with detailed explanations of the wine making process and the wines we tasted. Both tours made for a fantastic day and we would recommend these two tours to all visiting Parma.

Wonderful Tour - The tour took us from Parma to a small, family winery in Langhirano where we were treated like family. The setting was beautiful, the people friendly, and the wine excellent.

We tagged along for our driver's wine tour - We took a tour the day before and had the same driver the second day as well. We hadn't had the best experience with her the day before and were hoping for better. On the drive there the driver took a personal call, and as Italians do, was talking with both her hands, leaving ZERO hands on the wheel to drive. We found this both unprofessional and scary. We got to the winery and met the employee. We got a basic run down of the winery and then were served our first glass of wine. The host did minimal explanation and then took off, leaving us to sample alone as he chatted with our driver. This continued the whole time as he would come serve us, say "Enjoy" and then go hang out with our driver, as she sat and drank wine with him. We got almost no explanation about the wines or the property and definitely felt like we were extras on our driver's wine tour. And it was the second day in a row that she was drinking while driving us around. On the way back we said that we found the tour quite boring because we didn't learn much about the history of the winery. The driver gave us the history that she had learned that day, while on our tour. We felt that had she not monopolized the conversation and the host's time, we might have been able to receive that information first hand. We were basically ignored while they carried on and we were paying for her to go and drink wine. I would definitely not recommend this tour because there is a large safety issue and also a lack of professionalism.
