• Parco Ducale - The greenhouses in Ducal Park offer a glimpse into the botanical features of the renowned “Violetta di Parma,” which has been part of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza since the late 18th century.

• Palazzo della Pilotta - We will explore the exterior of Palazzo della Pilotta, constructed in the early 17th century by the Farnese family as a grand space for court services. We will trace the dynastic changes that occurred after the Farnese dynasty ended.

• Museo Glauco Lombardi - We will view the exterior of Palazzo di Riserva, home to the Glauco Lombardi Museum, to revisit the violet flower’s prominence during the First and Second Empires and Maria Luigia of Austria’s fondness for the flower, as evidenced by the museum’s collections.

• Teatro Regio - We will observe the exterior of Teatro Regio, one of the world’s premier opera houses, where legendary artists like Paganini, Verdi, Toscanini, Callas, and Beniamino Gigli have performed.

• Cattedrale di Parma - We will walk through Piazza Duomo to admire the Cathedral from the outside.

• Battistero di Parma - We will take in the stunning exterior of the Baptistery of Parma.

• Color Viola - A visit to the Violetta di Parma 1930 shop will allow us to explore the life of Ludovico Borsari, learn about the famous products created by the Borsari Company in the early 20th century, and see the modern local glass industry represented by the Bormioli Company.

• Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi - We will stroll through Garibaldi Square, surrounded by beautiful buildings like the Captain’s Palace, the Town Hall, and the Governor’s Palace, as well as shops, restaurants, and cafes that have earned the town the title of “UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.”

• Parma - We will visit an Acqua di Parma store to learn about the brand’s history, from its origins to its modern variations, and the history of Parma’s perfume industry, which started in small labs and grew to become a major global reference for perfumery packaging, bottles, caps, and labels.

The visit to Violetta di Parma 1930 shop allows us to retrace the life of Ludovico Borsari and the birth of the perfume that later became a symbol of the city and the Duchess. We will visit an Acqua di Parma store to get to know the brand from its origins to new variations and discover the history of the companies of the Parma perfume supply chain, which arose many years ago in small laboratories, to grow to the point to have become some of the major references worldwide for perfumery packaging, bottles, caps and labels.
