Witness cheese makers extract the cheese from milk vats, followed by a visit to the aging/storage rooms to see the concluding steps of the production. For a visit to the Parma ham Prosciutto factory, we will head to the picturesque hills of Langhirano, the birthplace of Prosciutto di Parma Ham. You will explore the ‘ambient temperature stage’ with a visit to the aging rooms, permeated by the distinctive aromas of the ham. Here, you will learn about the ‘spillatura’ technique, where only the premium hams pass the test and those chosen by the Consortium Inspector receive the distinguished ‘Crown of Parma’ branding.
The gastronomic journey concludes with a tasting of Parma ham accompanied by a glass of Malvasia, a bubbly, local white wine.

Great showcase of Parma - It was an informative and fun tour with amazing tastings! We learned a lot about the production of cheese and ham during the tour… the ham owner freshly sliced prosciutto for us and it was the most amazing prosciutto we’ve ever tasted .. we can’t go back to normal prosciutto now… he even gave us more when he saw that we liked it

Amazing-must do!! - What an incredible experience! Loris was our guide and he was incredible at explaining the whole parmigiano regiano process. We also met Claudio, a prosciutto master filled with passion for his craft. We also joined him for a tour of balsámico because we enjoyed his tour so much (we added this at the end). Loris was so kind that he dropped us off in Modena where we were staying even though the tour technically ended in Parma. I cant recommend this enough!!

Parmigiano Reggiano Dairy & Parma Ham Tour - We had an excellent experience on this tour! Our guide, Mattia, was incredibly knowledgeable and did a fantastic job navigating the day, keeping the group engaged, and ensuring a smooth flow despite the diverse participants.
The first part of the tour focused on making Parmigiano Reggiano. We learned so much about the traditions, techniques, and the region itself. Of course, the highlight was the tasting—absolutely delicious and a true appreciation of the craftsmanship behind each wheel of cheese!
The second half of the tour took us to a Parma ham facility, where the owner’s enthusiasm was simply contagious. His passion for the art of ham-making made the experience even more special. The tasting was very generous, and while I’m vegetarian, my husband and son thoroughly enjoyed it!
Overall, this tour exceeded expectations—it was fun and full of delicious moments. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting to explore the rich food culture of the region!

Incredible!! MUST DO! - This was the best tour I’ve ever experienced. George was our guide, very knowledgeable and kind. Both the cheese and prosciutto establishments were unique, amazing and truly a one of a kind experience. If you love culinary, food, cheese and prosciutto THIS IS A MUST!!! We stayed in Bologna, it was a very easy and short train ride to the meeting point by the Parma station. I recommend to everyone!

Fabulous cheese and ham in Parma - Tour van arrived late because different addresses were given to participants. The driver/guide did not provide any introduction or description of what the day’s plan was. However the tour and guide were excellent and it was a very interesting experience.

Great Visits, Super Tour Guide - The tour was outstanding. We left on time from the meeting place and our first stop at the cheese factory was a short drive outside the city. The production process was very interesting and we met the owner of the family owned business. Our guide Loris was very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the production process and told us about the region. The tour ended with a sampling of the tasty cheese. Our next stop was at the nearby Parma ham production facility. This is a small family owned business and we met the owner who hand cut and shared samples of his product at the end of the tour. Loris gave us a thorough explanation of each step of the process. It was nice to visit two small family owned businesses and learn about the production of two important products of the region.

Worth it! - The entire tour was great - our guide Sergio was very knowledgeable and friendly. He shared lots of interesting information about the region and the products with us.
Make sure you do the earliest tour to be able to see the entire process of the Parmigiano Reggiano, it was extremely worth it!
We also got to meet the owner of the Proscuitto di parma factory, Claudio. His passion was radiant!

Parmesano Reggiano cheese and Prosciutto de Parma. What’s not to love? - The actual tour was wonderful. Our guide, Loris, could not have been more courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. He is a definite gem. He actually led the presentations at each factory and I learned so much about how two of my favorite foods are made.
The only problem we had was that no one could find the starting point. The address given belongs to a Pharma company with nothing indicating that was the place. The tour vans, we learned, were actually parked across the street in front of a hotel. Better written directions would help. But for that, this was a 5-star tour.
