Highlights
  • Rainmaker Park - The tour begins with a walk in the rainforest looking for all kinds of birds, insects, and amphibians.

Continuing the walk on the trails, you will come to the Canopy Bridge system section. This system consists of suspension bridges, built to U.S. engineering standards. The six sections total 250 meters, spanning from platforms attached to massive hardwood trees to create the most impressive Canopy Walk in Costa Rica. The design permits minimal forest impact, allowing our participants to explore the majesty of the forest canopy from a bird’s eye view.

As we continue the walk in the jungle you’ll find the beautiful pristine river of the Rainmaker Park. Handrails and easy-to-follow footpaths along with observation platforms allow you to observe waterfalls and capture with photographs the rich biodiversity this unique site has to offer.

Close to the end of the walk, a pristine waterfall pool will beckon you to enjoy a refreshing dip.

Awesome nature hike in Rainmaker - We had a wonderful experience. Our guide Armando was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and the ecosystem in this forest. He was able to spot wildlife we would have never noticed and he knew a lot about each species we encountered. I would highly recommend this tour especially if Armando is your guide. Next time we are in town we will definitely take a tour with Armando.

Great tour in the humid forest - Our third tour with Jade Tours and once again a great one. We went back to Rainmaker Park. This time in the daylight to enjoy the hanging bridges, the beuatiful view to the sea and to swim in the waterfall pools. We were again accompanied by Joseth the guide who took us round the park showing us many plants and shared a lot of facts about the wild life as well as Costa Rica. We highly recommend Jade Tours and Joseth to all who wants good service and knowledgeable guides.

Definitely hire a guide! - So glad we decided to go with a guide! Yes- you can just pay the entrance fee and hike urself, but without our awesome guide, Stephanie, we would have walked past all the wildlife- she had amazing “eagle eyes”!!! I was nervous and a bit scared of the hanging bridges, but Stephanie reassured me and I did just fine. Highly recommend!

Great with kids and adults! - Edgar was so knowledgeable but not overwhelming. We had 7 adults and 3 kids, he did everything possible to make sure the kids saw and experienced everything the adults were. He was funny, friendly, and accommodating. He even took pics for us and sent them to us. We had him for the Manuel Antonio tour and loved him so much that we requested him for the waterfall rainmaker tour which was my preference.

Hanging Bridges hike - Wonderful trails/beautiful waterfalls. Our Guide - Rolando (Rolo) was great. He worked very hard to find interesting plants/insects/animals that we wouldn't have noticed or found on our own. The hike was pretty easy - but not boring. There were several areas with large steps going up and down, and some narrow trail areas besides the hanging bridges.

Nice tour for waterfalls but no mammal or birds - Nice ~2 mile hike round trip with a lot of elevation gain, would be a challenge for those with walking impairments. Saw several reptiles/amphibians but NO mammals or birds. The waterfalls were beautiful and swimming in the pools below them where the best part and very refreshing. Guide Joseth was good! very nice and knowledgeable. Enjoyed it a lot but was expecting to also see some animals and birds. Manuel Antonio National park had lots of animals.
