A location built on three reivers and an amazing history - Probably the best way to see Passau and not to miss the many fascinating buildings and stories about the town. In many ways dominated by water as the lines on the buildings designate the flood levels over the years.

Beautiful river-side city with lots of history. - Passau is a beautiful and picturesque city at the confluence of the Inn and Danube Rivers. One can imagine the history that has taken place here. City Hall, the Cathedral and the Passau Glass Museum are all well worth the time to visit and learn. This is a city where spending the night to get a daytime and night time experience is a good investment.

Passau is small enough to do on your own (steep climb to the Cathedral and back…) - We were able to wander this small city on our own. The St. Stephen’s cathedral was undergoing internal renovations, so while we had to peer around the scaffolding, we could see the splendor of the site. Cute public toilet in the lower park that had soap, faucet and dryer all in the same place-very efficient!
