Our journey continued with a tour around the Galeras Volcano, a majestic “mountain of fire” that has stood as a guardian over the region for millennia. The circumvallar route offered breathtaking views of the volcano’s slopes, dotted with charming municipalities like Yacuanquer and Consacá. Each stop was an opportunity to delve into the rich tapestry of history, culture, and craftsmanship that defines this region.
