Day 1 - Pattaya to Khao Yai National Park

Pattaya - Journey through the renowned resort town of Pattaya. This charming town boasts a serene sea on one side, numerous stylish resorts on the other, and is enveloped by lush green countryside.

Khao Yai National Park - Our first stop is Thailand’s third-largest National Park, Khao Yai, located about 190 km away through scenic countryside. The park is famous for its stunning waterfalls, including the 150m-tall Haew Narok. It is home to diverse wildlife, so expect to see elephants, bears, gibbons, hornbills, and other native species.

Day 2 - Khao Yai to Phetchabun overnight

Si Thep Historical Park - Si Thep Historical Park features the ruins of ancient Phetchabun, including Si Thep Ancient Town, originally known as MueangAphaiSali. Believed to be over 1,000 years old, the historic town is encircled by a moat and mound, with ponds and swamps within. Attractions include two Information Centers with displays of ancient remains and rotating exhibits on the park’s history and archaeology. Noteworthy is the Prang Song Phi Nong spire, built in the 11th or 12th century in the Baphuon style of Khmer art. The KhaoKlangNai Ancient Monument, located in the town center, dates back to the 6th or 7th century.

Wat Pha Sorn Kaew - Perched on a hill with a backdrop of stunning mountain ranges, Wat Pha Sorn Kaew Temple is one of Thailand’s hidden gems. The temple features five Buddha statues of varying sizes, creating a majestic sight among the mountains. The colorful mosaic wall adorned with tiles and ornaments adds to its charm. The temple is a tranquil meditation center, easily accessible by private transport, with free entrance (donations welcome).

Day 3 - Phetchabun to Phu Tub Berk (1768m H) then overnight in Phitsanulok

Day 4 - Phitsanulok to Mai Sot Burmese border town

Mae Sot - Drive to Mae Sot, a culturally diverse city in Thailand. The town’s streets showcase a mix of Burmese men in longyi, Hmong and Karen women in traditional dress, bearded Muslims, Thai army rangers, and foreign NGO workers. Languages spoken include Burmese, Karen, and Thai, with shop signs in Thai, Burmese, and Chinese. Mae Sot is a major jade and gem center, with trade dominated by Chinese and Muslim immigrants from Myanmar.

Phitsanulok - After breakfast, we head west to the historical park at Sukhothai, once the capital of the great Khmer empire. The park offers a unique insight into Thailand’s history. We have lunch riverside in Tak before continuing west to our overnight stay in Mae Sot via Route 12, a favorite road for its fast curves and elevation changes.

Day 5 - Mae Sot to Mae Sariang

Mae Sot - After checking out from the hotel, we ride along the Burmese border before heading inland to Mae Sariang.

Mae Sariang - This small district town is set in a picturesque location by a largely undeveloped riverside, surrounded by forested hills and paddy-filled valleys. The town retains many old teak buildings, Burmese/Shan-style wats, and offers a glimpse of traditional, small-town Thailand.

Day 6 - Mae Sariang to Pai

Salawin National Park - Located in the far west of Mae Sariang district, Mae Hong Son, Salawin National Park encompasses well-preserved forested hills along the watershed between the Yuam and Salween Rivers. The park covers over 720 square kilometers and includes parts of the Salween Wildlife Sanctuary and Lum Nam Khong National Park. It connects to the Mae Yuam Wildlife Sanctuary to the north and Nam Ngao National Park to the south, creating a vast forest and mountain area.

Pai - This charming town, set midway between Mae Hong Son and Chiang Mai, is a dream destination for many travelers. Nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains, Pai offers a relaxed atmosphere. The town has three main streets and the scenic Pai River. Activities include bamboo rafting, white-river rafting, hiking, mountain trekking, and exploring souvenir shops. The surrounding area features hot springs, waterfalls, and ethnic hill-tribe villages.

Pai River - Originating in the Daen Lao Range, Pai District, Mae Hong Son Province, the Pai River flows north-south and then east-west, crossing the Thai/Burmese border.

Day 7 - Rest Day Pai

Pai - After several days on the road, we take a break to explore Pai and its surroundings, known for hot springs and natural beauty. Popular with hippies and backpackers, Pai offers various excursions, including white water rafting, sightseeing, trekking, and visiting national parks.

Day 8 - Pai to Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai - The largest city in Northern Thailand, founded in 1294, retains much of its ancient heritage. Explore the old city gates and ancient walls, visit hidden coffee shops, and enjoy the ‘Rose of the North.’

Pai - After a restful day, we continue on the Mae Hong Son loop route 1095 towards Chiang Mai. We visit the Maerim Elephant sanctuary to observe and interact with elephants in a welfare-friendly environment. After lunch and a few points of interest, we arrive at our overnight accommodation in Chiang Mai.

Day 9 - Chiang Mai to Golden Triangle to Chiang Khong (Laos border town)

Chiang Mai - After breakfast, we leave Chiang Mai and head southeast to Nan.

Golden Triangle - Embark on an epic ride to the legendary Golden Triangle. Leaving Chiang Mai, we navigate scenic mountain passes and lush valleys, ascending Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s highest peak, for breathtaking views. Along the way, visit charming villages and hidden temples. The Golden Triangle, where Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand meet, offers a glimpse into history and vibrant border towns. Day 10 - Chiang Khong to Phu Chi Fa to 1148 Coffee Shop, overnight in Nan

Nan - After breakfast, we ride through a mix of Thailand’s natural beauty, including hills, mountains, curves, forests, and valleys, heading into Loei.

Day 11 - Nan to Pak Nai Ferry to Khok Ngam, Loei

Day 12 - Khok Ngam to Khon Kaen

Nakhon Sawan to Kabinburi

Ang Thong Province - Ang Thong is known for local handicrafts, including royal doll sculpture, drum making, clay brick production, and wickerwork. It is also the birthplace of folk music. Some villages feature flower plantations, such as marigolds and sunflowers, becoming new tourist spots.

Kabinburi to Pattaya

Pattaya - After breakfast, we set off for the final leg of the tour back to Route 66 diner. We pass through beautiful countryside with hilly climbs and curves. Finally, we say goodbye, taking with us memories of a fantastic adventure.

Our guides have years of experience of riding across Thailand, they are well versed with the roads, terrain, and culture.

• We strongly recommends that all protective clothing be worn. We provides all motorcycle protective gear. If you require any special size clothing it would be preferable to bring the protective clothing with you. In Thailand motorcycle helmets are compulsory; boots, protective clothing, and gloves for riders and passengers are strongly advised
