Great hike, not much of a tour - The hike itself is fantastic. There are great views the whole way. I think the tour itself could be improved. First, I had trouble verifying what time I'd be picked up. My hotel had to look up the phone number because they didn't respond to Viator messages and the one listed on Viator is incorrect. Then they said they didn't know anything about my reservation. Eventually they found it. The listing on Viator doesn't have much information. They should really add more details about how long/difficult the hike is because people could definitely be unprepared. It also said nothing about the other stops you make. You stop for breakfast (not included) which isn't very good. You also make a quick stop at a lake for pictures before starting the hike. The guide spoke English which we appreciated since we booked an English tour. Other than providing information about when to be back at the bus, it's not really a guided tour. It's just a bus ride to and from the hike. I'd definitely recommend it though because it's a fantastic hike and the lake is beautiful. Make sure you acclimate for a few days in Huaraz first and are prepared for the difficulty.
