Touring with Good Friends - Elaina & Mike are wonderful hosts/guides and you feel like you're travelling with your good friends. They are well-travelled and know how to make a "tour" seem like a visit with local friends. First, nice that Elaina emailed me right away after I sent inquiry about the tour (while 'another' tour company only responded after I re-sent my inquiry two days later). Mike & Elaina emailed me the afternoon before the tour confirming the pick-up time at my hotel - nice! And they stated they have umbrellas and rain ponchos in case it rained, and suggested we could bring our own lunches if we desired. Any entrance fees were included, so no wasting time standing in line to get tickets. Second, after they picked me up at my hotel and we were all on the road, they told us about special events at some stops (Mahone Bay's annual Scarecrow exhibit), and asked each of us where we wanted to spend the most time. Due to the weather forecast we decided to skip one stop and spend more time at the Ovens Caves. We lucked out that Peggy's Cove had few tourists to interfere with photo taking, so we spent more time at Mahone Bay too. Third, a couple of us had dietary restrictions; Mike & Elaina offered us several suggestions on which restaurants in Lunenburg would be good for us to have lunch. Fourth, Elaina and Mike pointed out places we passed on the way on the roads, and at every stop specifically pointed out the locations of the washrooms. Very much appreciated. Lastly, this South Shore Adventure tour left each of us with a desire to return and see more on our next visit to this part of Nova Scotia. Looking forward to returning next year and going on another adventure with Supernova Tours.

You will not regret this tour! - This was such a great tour and I couldn’t recommend it more. Our driver Mike picked us up from our hotel and took us on a fun adventure. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. He even threw in an extra stop at the Blue Rocks. Each stop was unique and fun in its own way. Peggy’s Cove is iconic, the BernArt maze was wacky and fun, Lunenburg was so picturesque and a lovely spot for lunch and Ovens Sea Caves was such a pretty hike. Would recommend to anyone visiting Halifax!

Packed a lot in a day! - What a terrific tour! Mike is personable and knowledgeable of the Halifax area. It was a real treat to have a small group and allowed more time at places we were interested in. The Ovens sea cave area was an unexpected beauty. And I did not have to drive!

Supernova Tours: A South Shore Must Do - We capped off our five-day trip to Halifax with a South Shore Adventure Tour from Supernova Tours. Elaina and Mike picked us up at our hotel and were our guides for the day! Elaina and Mike are super friendly and accommodating. It was great to get to know them and have conversations with them as we drove to Peggy's Cove. As residents of the area, their local knowledge is off the charts! They even satisfied our interest in Oak Island. They took us on a slight detour on our trip and stopped by the famous island so we could get a peek! Peggy's Cove was amazing and we spent our time there taking in the sights of the ocean crashing along the shores and the famous lighthouse. Lunenburg is beautiful with a busy waterfront and lots to see. Elaina and Mike's local knowledge of the busy crowds and streets proved to be helpful - getting us to an excellent drop off point and pick up location for when we were done our time in Lunenburg. While all the sights were beautiful, a real highlight was getting to see caves at Ovens Natural Park! Elaina and Mike made sure we were equipped with the information we needed to explore these caves along the ocean and the walking trail. Not only did we get to see and explore the caves, we saw a pod of dolphins swim by the shoreline! Before returning us to our hotel, Elaina and Mike made sure we stopped at a small park in Halifax to see a piece of anchor shaft from the Mont-Blanc, one of the ships involved in the Halifax Explosion. This large piece of the anchor (1,140 lbs!) was sent 3.8 kms through the air and landed in what is now a park. Again, it was our conversations with Elaina and Mike and their local knowledge that led to this little extra detour! Supernova Tours was the highlight of our trip! We had a great time with Elaina and Mike and highly recommend their tours. If you are planning a trip to Halifax or the South Shore area, be sure to check out the tours from Supernova Tours. Thanks, Supernova Tours!!!
