Blue Whale - We had an incredible flight with Sam as our pilot. The views from the plane were spectacular! We were able to see a Blue whale surface multiple times and also a juvenile humpbacks. The colors of the water were beautiful. Sam really took the time to explain where we were and how to spot the whales. This experience us unforgettable!! There is no tour like this!!

Ride of our lives - Sam took us out this afternoon and we spotted a beautiful sperm whale within five minutes of take off. He was informative and personable - a great pilot and tour guide. The weather was wonderful which made the whole experience 11 out of 10. I would definitely recommend as a day trip from Christchurch!!!

Exception whale watch experience from the air - Drive in last minute to see if flights were available. They gave us an option of a charter flight for the 2 of us and we promptly left after the safety briefing. It was awesome. 2 sperm whales - 1 humpback and saw all three drive and tails up as they did so. Circling above the whales till they dived with a total view of all was exceptional. Our pilot / guide .. can’t remember her name sorry .. was Supurb . Knowledgeable and informative re all things whales . A well worth while experience .

Glorious flight over scenic mountain ranges and majestic whales - Wonderful experience, led by the kind and very informative pilot Sean (or is it Shaun? Sorry!) We drove over the beautiful snowy mountain ranges, saw two whales (a baby humpback about 10m, and a spermwhale 19m very close to the shore), plenty of opportunities to snap pictures but to also just enjoy the view and take in the grandeur of it all!

Amazing must do! - Well worth it! We got a beautiful clear fine day and a good 20 minute perfect view of a whale on the surface. We also saw a huge pod of dolphins. Made our Kaikoura experience.

Best way to see a whale is from the air with wings over whales! - For our whole family this was one of the top events during our holiday in New Zeeland! Even my dad ( who has seen a whole part of the world) listed this in his top 3 events during our holidays! Don't book a boat tour to see the whales but simply book your flight with wings over whales! Super friendly crew, good explanations and you get to know more about the whales!

Fantastic - We did the Wings Over Whales tour as part of our cruise ship excursion and it was fantastic. Staff and Pilot were all excellent and on our flight we got to see a Sperm Whale surface to take some air. What a magical event. I killed about 4 billion pixels on my camera taking photos. Suggestion: I-Phones do take great photos but you really need a proper camera with 200-300 mm lens to record this trip properly.

A helicopter flight to never forget - The perfect day thanks to wings over whales. We had a bit of a delay due to an overbooking, but wings over whales did everything to compensate the delay by giving us a wonderful experience! The helicopter flight was just amazing, with outstanding views and we saw a spermwhale and a hudge group of dolphins. Thank you Daniel and your team for a great experience to never forget

Too little chance to spot well - Friendly welcome, nice video, but sperm whales are whales that dive for 45 minutes and more and then briefly come to the surface to breathe. The chance of spotting is therefore small: we saw 1 sperm whale for a maximum of 20 seconds on the wrong side of the plane.
