- Associação de Capoeira Mestre Bimba - Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian MARTIAL ART that combines FIGHT, CULTURE, DANCE, MUSIC and ACROBATICS. It teaches discipline, self-defense, physical fitness, and on top of all of that is extremely connected to the Afro-Brazilian ancestry. The class is directed to BEGINNERS students who have NEVER TRAINED Capoeira. So don’t worry, it is not necessary to have any type of experience! You will be just fine. I will teach you the attacks, defenses and flow movements. Be prepared to breathe the culture of Salvador. Training with us, you will learn so much more than just the exercise, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Vamos!

Excellent Capoeira class! - Yasmin was an excellent teacher! I can’t believe we learned capoeira in an hour. Very patient and kept a nice pace with the class. She taught us the history behind this art form and its mind/body connection. I highly recommend Yasmin’s class. A must do in Salvador!

Capoeira Lesson in Salvador - If you have ever watched Capoeira and are interested to learn more and give it a try then I strongly recommend this activity! It is based in the first Capoeira school where it all began in the beautiful heart of Pelourinho, you will get to learn about the history of Capoeira, its importance to the community and of course you will get to learn and practice some moves! Yasmin is an excellent teacher who speaks perfect English and is passionate about Capoeira. The school is easy to find, very close to the tourist areas and no prior experience is needed. The best 1 hour activity in Salvador!!
