Essential to visit Salvador - An extremely rich tour of Salvador, Dirk knows the history and geography of the city as his pocket, cross-checking with historical facts that may also concern the country's history. Worth it to understand the history of Salvador and Brazil

Nice day out - Really enjoyed the full day tour with driver and guide. The guide was Belgian so spoke excellent. English. Drove around Salvador out to the beach and to peninsulas on the bay, and also did a lovely walking tour around the old town

Fantastic day with Dirk - Dirk is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who is passionate about Salvador. We thoroughly enjoyed the day with him and really enjoyed all the places he took us to, including a local market. It was a bonus to speak our native Dutch language with him as he is multi lingual. We highly recommend this tour.

Full day worth it for English speaker - I did a solo trip and wanted to do highlights in Salvador and this tour did this for me. I was able to spend all day driving the upper and lower city and getting to explore. Not all tours in Brazil have great English and this gave me the whole package and I feel like I saw the city.

Wonderful Salvafor da Bahia experience - Our full day tour was packed with historical information, cultural experience, important sites visited which was made possible by our excellent guide Dirk. Appreciating a place is always worthwhile with the information given by an experienced guide who was most accommodating and professional. Now we will always remember Salvador da Bahia as a land of happy people as shown to us by our guide Dirk.

Perfect - Ana was an extremely knowledgeable and kind guide. I’m an amputee but she drove me as close to the sites as possible. She speaks perfect English but she kindly agree to speak in Portugués slowly so that my son could learn. A great experience.

Great experience! - Punctuality is characteristic of this tour. Tour guy Dirk is Belgian and knows everything about Salvador city, he is ready to answer all your questions about the history of Salvador city, first capital of colonial Brazil. The tour includes the old historic center, beautiful landscapes, such as the sunset at the Montserrat fort, as well as a visit to Ribeira ice cream parlor to taste sorbets with a unique flavor! Also meet Prentice de Carvalho, a master of the art of tiles whose works are spread all over the world! We were very pleased with the tour!

The perfect guide & full day in Salvador de Bahia - We started the day at a fort and finished the day at a fort, with a perfect sunset. Dirk is a very knowledgeable guide and is fantastic for story-telling. We did it all: 1) the Upper town / historical town listed with UNESCO; 2) the Lower part of town; 3) we visited a wonderful local market; 4) we ate the famous « moqueque » local dish; 5) he took me to a gem house; 6) we visited an artist studio (paintings on ceramics); 7) I had ice-creams in the best ice-cream parlour on the peninsula; 8) we saw the most stunning barocco church of Saint Francis with its convent which reopened after 4 years of restoration and its stunning azulejos; 9) we saw the lake with African deity statues and the new soccer stadium; 10) we were lucky enough to attend the mass at the world famous church of « Bom Fin » the day after Carnival. Dirk is very attentive to your needs and wishes and dedicated to make you have a memorable and enjoyable experience in Salvador. And you will have a wonderful and memorable day and experience with him as a guide.
