What a view! - We thoroughly enjoyed our evening with the attentive and knowledgeable Mr Eng. It was fascinating to hear how Penang has changed and to see how it is developing. Penang Hill is the perfect vantage point for that. Dinner was good - but naturally it was the setting that made it special.

It was for a special occasion and on this occasion it was only us and our fabulous guide, Moy( i think i have spelt it wrong but this is how it sounds). He has so much knowledge he is like a book. We enjoyed his company so much we invited him to have dinner with us, but he politely declined. on the night the c]clouds cleared and we had the best views of the city lights over Georgetown, it was beautiful. The dinner was simple but still lovely. Only thing is it appears the later it gets the busier the train ride gets coming back down the hill. Thourougly enjoyed ourselves.

Our guide was very nice... - Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable; however the experience is not worth the price. It's cheaper to get a grab or taxi and buy the tickets there. There are signs so it is easy to follow. Then the restaurant is not worth it. It is a set menu. Even if you order a la carte is cheaper than the whole experience. Do not pay for this. The only good thing was our guide. He was very kind and good person. Not his fault.

Do not book this tour. You get taken... -
Do not book this tour. You get taken to the bottom of the railway ride, asked for more money on the spot to join the Fast Lane which you will need as there will be a two hour wait for the 'regular' lane. We were informed prior to the tour commencing that the restaurant was overbooked even though the tour was confirmed at time of booking and another had been found. The replacement restaurant was a run down hovel with a very basic restaurant serving 3 hawker centre food. Absolute joke of a tour considering the experience costs upwards of 250 for 2 people.
