Come for the exhibit, stay for the coffee - Even if you're no history buff, I'd say a visit here is as unmissable as the char kuey teow. This afternoon, Kelvyn gave us one of the best museum visits we've ever had. With his vast knowledge and knack for storytelling, he brought to life every piece of this small but very well-curated exhibit. After the tour, we were given complimentary drinks — and I have to say the coffee was pretty good! Thanks Kelvyn, and the rest of the Straits and Oriental team, for making this visit a highlight of our trip! :)

History at its best! - I happened to walk past here and bought a ticket for 25RM (including coffee). Kelvyn had just started a museum tour and I joined him. I had no idea what the museum was about beforehand. At first I thought that looking at porcelain was boring. BUT Kelvyn went beyond that and linked Chinese history with porcelain, explained certain patterns, colors and events that were behind the exhibits. That made it very lively. What was captivating for me, however, was the way he explained everything and, above all, with what passion! He answered all questions and was sometimes generous, which helped me a lot to understand and connect the events. Very inspiring and recommendable, thank you for this surprisingly colorful and lively experience!

This place is a must! - This is a must! The museum is so well curated and informative. It is located in Stewart Lane, just off Love Lane - a gorgeous and historical area to wander around. Annie, the museum director, knows so much about the artefacts on display here. You also get a free coffee/ drink and a guided tour included in the entry fee. If you are at all interested in ceramics and how they can reveal so much about the history of a place, you will love this museum.
