• Pocono Mountains Region - Volubilis is a partly excavated Roman city in Morocco located near Meknes between Fez and Rabat. Built in a fertile agricultural area, it developed from the 3rd century BC as a Phoenician (and later Carthaginian) colony. It grew rapidly under Roman rule from the 1st century AD and expanded to cover approximately 100 acres with a 1.6 mile circuit of walls. The city acquired a number of major public buildings in the 2nd century, including a basilica, a temple and a triumphal arch. Its prosperity, which was mainly due to olive growing, prompted the construction of many beautiful townhouses with large mosaic floors.

The city fell to local tribes around 285 and was never recaptured by Rome due to its remoteness and indefensibility on the southwestern frontier of the Roman Empire. It continued to be inhabited for at least 700 years.

• Situated in the northern region of Morocco lies the city of Meknes, celebrated for its royal history, which includes features like Bab Mansour, an expansive gateway lined with vaults and mosaic designs. This gateway ushers visitors into the historic imperial city. The burial site of Sultan Moulay Ismaïl, who declared the city as his capital in the 17th century, encompasses courtyards and water features. Southwards, the expansive Heri es-Souani facility was previously used as stables and food storehouses.
