Great experience - This was my first visit to the winery. I really enjoyed the landscape. The vineyard/history tour with Ines was five star. I look forward to going back and spending more time on horses and bikes as well as bbq. Ines, with her hospitality background I am sure will deliver a great day!

A brilliant day - great wines, food and lovely people. - Antonio and Ines made us very welcome and explained the story and the ethos of the winery exceptional well. The manual harvesting of the Syrah grapes, with the helpful encouragement of Ines, was great fun. The wine tasting followed by the delicious BBQ was amazing. Highly recommended.

Excellent tour and host - At Viña Encierra we enjoyed a wonderful tasting of premium wines, with the friendliness and clear explanations of Ines, our host and guide, about the tasting, the pairing, the manufacturing and the history of the vineyard. An excellent experience.

Thoroughly special vineyard visit and wine tasting - Even in the brisk fall, sun envelopes the Encierra vineyard exuding a warmth matched by guide Ines, who is the consummate host. After a brief walk thru the vineyards with beautiful vistas, we visited the family chapel, a collaboration between Don Jorge, the winery’s original proprietor, and his father-in-law. The Encierra family touch throughout the facility is personal and intimate. Encierra sells much of its grape production to other vintners, keeping the best grapes for itself and doing only a small production. As a result, Encierra’s wines are EXQUISITE! The vineyard produces a broad range of grapes and blends it’s wines masterfully. We especially enjoyed their Rose’ and the Porel, a special dedication from Don Jorge’s daughter, the current alchemist of Encierra’s wine magic, to her father. Ines’ formal training and education in hospitality shone as brightly as the morning sun. Her English is excellent. Ines composed a delicious cheese plate to accompany our tasting. She ensured the all wines were served at the perfect temperature. Her command of Encierra’s history, its uniqueness, and its products was total, natural, and appreciative. Ines is also simply a lovely person with whom to visit. Our time with her felt much like how we will enjoy Encierra with friends - in a casual, inviting, embracing manner. We will remember our time at Encierra and with Ines fondly and look forward to returning again. We highly recommend Encierra as a stop in the Colchagua valley.

One of the best in Colchagua - I had an excellent tour with Ine's. She is very knowledgeable about the wines and has sincere appreciation for the history. The winery is beautiful and the setting for the tasting is even better. I visited 17 different wineries in Colchagua valley and this one is easily in the top three. Ine's is the best!

Exquisite boutique winery - This is a lovely boutique winery outside Santa Cruz. The setting is wonderful and the wines were excellent. The vineyards are mature but the winery is relatively new and was such a wonderful experience. Ines gave us the tour as a little history of the vineyards and winery before the very enjoyable tasting.

Smaller and more personal tour - Great little tour from a boutique winery about half an hour outside of Santa Cruz. Inés was our guider and she talked us through the history, geography and of course the wine. The tasting was great (POREL was our favourite) This is a very different experience to the mainline, large enterprise tours at the bigger vinyards,
