A Day In Bali

Mount Batur (Kintamani volcano)
For those who crave adventure and enjoy hiking, try a sunrise trek to the top of Mount Batur. It is one of the most exhilarating, rewarding, and picturesque experiences one can have. The hike typically begins at 2am and will take you approximately 3 hours to reach the peak. It is a somewhat strenuous hike, but it is worth it because you will view a breath-taking sunrise. After the hike, I highly recommend a trip to a nearby hot spring in order to relax and loosen up those hard-working muscles!
Alila Manggis
Initially, we stayed at Alila Manggis for the first 3 days. It is quite a resort for honeymooners because it is secluded, quiet, and welcoming. The resort was, thus, filled with couples (i.e. not the best for groups and families). What I recommend doing at Alila Manggis is their "Catch and Cook Experience." It is an afternoon spent on a traditional Balinese boat, fishing in the ocean. The hotel provides all of the equipment. You are able to catch as many fishes as you would like. At the end, you can learn how to cook the fishes with the resort chef using Balinese ingredients or have the kitchen prepare it for you for lunch or dinner.
I would stay at: Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort & Spa
Large, beautiful, contemporary rooms! The Ocean Suites are a must. They include a private outdoor hot tub and day bed. The breakfast buffets and menus are expansive and are typically included within the rate. The resort is right on the beach, as well.
