Basilica of the Assumption
Whenever there is a church in town I'm there. I love the architecture. Take the Purple Route of the free Charm City Circulator to this Basilica and take the free self-guided tour. Don't miss the basement (or undercroft) of the church - it's just as spectacular as the main level. While you are our this way, take a few moments to look at the Washington Monument and the Enoch Pratt Free Library.
Fort McHenry
The Banner Route of the Charm City Circulator terminates at this Fort. In the summer the water taxi will also take you here. It's worth a quick visit for the free video in the museum. For a fee afterwards you can tour some exhibits in the actual Fort. Or, for free, walk in the park all around the Fort and enjoy a nice water view.
Baltimore Water Taxi
When I travel I never pass up a chance to see a city from the water - the perspective is always different and well worth it. If you took the Charm City Circulator to get to Federal Hill, take the Water Taxi back. I like this best at night time again as well. The view of the city from water level is unique.
