Keeping Austin,Tx Weird The Local Way.

Jo's Coffee
Kick off your day with a local favorite: Jo's Coffee - it's on the go to adapt to your busy day ahead!
South Congress Ave
Stroll down South Congress and stop in for some local, vintage clothing and record shops on the coolest street in Austin, rather known as SoCo.
Home Slice Pizza
Stop in for a slice of the absolute greatest pizza - they have selections daily or grab a whole pizza pie! Just be prepared to steal away a few Smarties given with the check.
Barton Springs Pool
Then take a dip in the famous Barton Spring Pool and sun bathe on the lawn or grab a tube for the cool water!
Hotel San Jose
To begin the evening, sit outside at the San Jose Hotel and enjoy a cold Texas beer or my favorite, a chilled tinto verano as the night falls.
Guerro's
Then step over to Guero's Taco Bar for some authentic and amazing Tex-Mex and wash it down with a fresh Margarita. Usually on the weekends they will have live music, so it's the perfect place to begin the fiesta!
Icenhauer's
Delving more into the night, take a cab over to the Rainey Street area for an awesome house bar vibe and a local favorite. Icenhauer's serves up drinks in Mason jars, but there are plenty of houses lining the street with the same great atmosphere such as the Lustre Pearl or Clive Bar!
Antone's
When in Austin, one has to catch live music at night - it is the capitol for such business. Antone's usually has a great headliner with Stubb's or Emo's also in the lead. Honestly, anywhere in Austin can house some of the greatest live performances.
Barbarella
After an evening of live music, one will need to get it all out on the dance floor into the wee hours of the morning. Barbarella is just the place for that. 80's, 90's, hip-hop - they will all be playing - getting there right before 1:30 a.m. will help you beat the line.
I would stay at: Hotel Saint Cecilia
You have to rest your head at the Hotel Saint Cecilia - super cool, super hip and ultimately super relaxing.
