Champagne experience achieved - We had the best day exploring the Champagne region! Our guide was amazing—super friendly and knew so much about the area and the champagne-making process. Visiting Moët & Veuve Clicquot was incredible, and the tastings were out of this world. It felt really special to see these famous champagne houses up close. If you're thinking about a day trip from Paris, this is the one to do!

What a wonderful experience! - Our tour of the Champagne region with Emily as our guide was simply spectacular. We discovered the secrets of champagne while exploring the vineyards and wineries. The driver took us safely and comfortably through the picturesque roads of the region, adding a special touch to our adventure. Thanks to Tour Up in Europe for this unforgettable experience!

Fantastic Champagne Experince - Having the ultimate luxury experience with a great personal driver (Dennis) and guide (Emily) take us to 4 great champagne experiences was unforgettable! We had an amazing time & they were both brilliant. We felt like millionaires for the day with our own “personal assistant” to organize everything & our driver to swiftly take us anywhere.

Champagne in the company of a llama. - We visited the Champagne region and three wineries thanks to this wonderful company. Allow yourself a treat with Champagne bubbles! In addition to the guide and driver, we were accompanied by a llama, the company's mascot. It was fun. We liked everything.

Not for anyone over 35 - The 2 actual Champagne houses visited were lovely tours. Unfortunately this is a young company whose focus is on things like being impressed by Teslas and not on serivce. The tour was advertised as "10 Glasses of Champagne" which implies 3 or more house visited. We were taken to 2 and a "museum". Much time was wasted with late arrival to pick us up for the tour and "time for coffee" before our first house visit. We were picked up at 7:40am and our first tour wasn't until 11:45. Had I known the place we'd be brought for lunch would be the equivalent of a TGIFridays I would hvae had lovely sandwiches from the bakery where we had coffee. We rushed our Moet & Chandon experience in order to be on time for what turned out to be a "museum" and then were brought to a sports bar for lunch because the the only thing open for food at that hour was a bar. The whole day could have been planned so much better. The tour guide spent more time on her phone texting and dealing with the stuffed animal that she was to take photos of for Tour Up Europe than with provviding service to the patrons. I am sure she really didn't know an y better. She tried, but was ill exquipped to handle anyone not Gen Z or Millenial. When I reached out to the company I was told how unappreciative I was. I would never use Tour Up Europe again. They have no concept of customer service. And as far as me being unappreciative, well you can find my exemplary review of the other tour we took though Viator that was the absolute opposite. Marvelous attention, information and a truely wonderful experience.

Not what we expected. - There is a discrepancy between what is offered and what is actually given First of all, the pickup time was never confirmed and we were late for our first appointment. Second, we were supposed to visit Moet including 2 glasses of champagne. Instead it was Pommery with only one glass. Also, Veuve Clicquot is included, it was not! The only thing we did that is detailed in the tour description was the cathedral and Pressoria. Our tour guide was very nice but seemed to be lost half the time

Not as represented, overpriced, touristy and unprofessional - This tour was not as represented, overpriced and touristy. We decided to splurge on a “Private Guided Tour” of Champagne for our group of 8, and I looked at both Trip Advisor and Tour Up Europe’s website, which says “During the drive, our guide will provide you with general information about the history of Champagne and wine production in the region.” We expected that a tour guide would be sharing information throughout the day about France and the Champagne region that would help us connect with the country and culture. I should have been tipped off that something wasn’t right when they sent a link to pay a deposit that was 100 EUR more than they asked for. But after a couple emails, they sent a link for the deposit in the right amount, so we moved forward. We were asked to pay in cash on the day of the tour. Just two days before the tour, we got an email from Valerie asking us to pay by card, not by cash. When I asked why, she said that we would only have a driver, not a guide. I asked if the driver would have information to share about the region and Valerie assured us he would, however when the driver arrived and we asked him to tell us about the region, he declined and said the only tour was at the wineries While the website promised lunch at a “good local restaurant,” we were taken to a touristy joint that was a poor imitation of a British pub (at least two menu items contained the word “Sexy”). Definitely the opposite of connecting with the local culture. Other details were neglected too. It would have been nice to know that it would be cold in the cellars and to bring a sweater or dress warmly. The car was cramped, and there was not enough time to do the whole itinerary, so we skipped the last stop. Worst of all, when I emailed Valerie to express our dissatisfaction and shared the information above, she said we should have known that we wouldn’t have a guide (despite the event title and website description) because we asked for our entire group of 8 to be in one car. She became combative and even mocked me for thinking that the same person would be a driver and a guide, asking what did I think, “Will the guide be on the rooftop of a car?” She initially offered a very small refund (around 3%), and when I said I didn’t think that was sufficient and asked for a larger but still modest refund (around 8%), she stopped offering any refund altogether. To sum it up, Tour Up Europe does not provide what was promised and was unprofessional about doing so. The “tour” was really just a drive to two large champagne houses where I could have easily made reservations myself, plus some sites that required no reservations. Anyone could arrange this directly at a fraction of the cost. Don’t waste your money on TourUp Europe.

Disappointed. Tour cut short due to operator late pickup - We were very much looking forward to this trip to Champagne, we did not get what we paid for. When our hotel pick-up time passed we reached out to Viator for help. They gave minimal information and after waiting outside I. The cold for 90 minutes we finally got into contact with the local operator. They had a mix-up on the booking on their end. They scrambled to get something together (which we appreciated) but we eventually got picked-up 3.5 hours late and only got to go to one Champagne house, visit the cathedral for 10 minutes and do the Champagne museum tour. Our guide and driver did their best given the situation, but we definitely did not get what we paid for and neither Viator nor the local operator offered to give a refund/discount for the large chunk of the trip we missed. We did enjoy the wine tour/tasting we were able to get in. We were extremely disappointed overall.
