It should have been a week tour instead of a day one - Oh that was fantastic. We were a group of friends from Budapest visiting the champagne region for the first time. I must say that I doubted that I would learn much as I have been a bit educated in wine tasting. But being in the heart of this most sophisticated sparkling wine in the world was something really special. In fact, I learned a great deal! We had mush fun and I hope we didn’t disturb our guide Emily with our behavior. She trued to keep us on the schedule all the time. After a few drinks we were friends and we would have liked to stay more. We should have ordered a week tour in 🍾 champagne! We will definitely come back for some more!

Champagne dream tour - I have dreamed about touring Champagne France and wanted to make sure I got it right. It was 4 of us total. We were picked up at our hotel in Paris around 7:30am and then it is about and hour and 1/2 ride to the region. We were in a Mercedes sprinter which was nice. Note: the 2nd row faces backwards in case you get car sick riding backwards, 3rd row faces front. Our driver and guide spoke limited English, so this is definitely not a guided tour, but our guide was amazing keeping us on time for our tastings especially later during the day as the tastings started kicking in and trying to keep the fun on track! She was so sweet.
We started at Dom Perignon and Moet and Chandon and did a high end tasting there. No tour of the grounds. We then went to a smaller champagne house, and then went to lunch in Reims, all set up by them. Next we went to Pommery house and then ended with Vueve Clicquot which was by far my favorite! So 4 champagne houses and tastings
and lunch. The tours were amazing and very informative and better than I thought it would be. We ended around 5:30 and I imagine they would have driven us back to Paris, but we had booked an Airbnb for the night in the center of Reims and did dinner and brunch the next day there and decided to not rush the day. I highly recommend this tour, they took very good care of us and it was an amazing experience.

Unforgettable French Adventure with Exceptional Service - This tour was exactly what we were hoping for and more! We aren’t easily impressed, having traveled the world, but this company went above and beyond. One of our group members had a temporary physical disability, which could have made things complicated, but the team handled it flawlessly.
From the start, communication was seamless, and the tour was tailored perfectly to our needs. My dad excitedly said, ‘Surprise us!’ and they did just that. Valerie arranged a unique champagne tasting and even a dramatic bottle-opening ceremony with a special knife – an incredible spectacle that was well worth the extra cost!
Our guide, Emily, was fantastic. She took great care of us and shared so much knowledge along the way, helping us fall in love with the region. The driver (we couldn’t quite catch his name) was also wonderful, offering us drinks and friendly service. We upgraded our ride to a luxurious minivan equipped with karaoke and PlayStation – the ride back was a blast!
This was by far the best day of our trip to France. We will DEFINITELY recommend this company for their outstanding service and care. When we return to Europe, Tour Up in Europe will be our first choice!

Fantastic Experience! - This tour satisfied all of our search criteria. This letter will be beneficial, so don't be alarmed by its magnitude. I wanted to give this business all the recognition it merits. We are not easily surprised, to begin with. We have seen a great deal of the world through our travels. Adding to our already challenging situation was the fact that one of the people on our trip had a temporary physical handicap.
But we were impressed with the contact right away, as well as the suggestion to customise this experience. My father answered, "Hell yes, let's go!" We requested that you @surprise us@. Valerie provided us with a picnic, a special champagne tasting, and the ceremony.

Champagne experience achieved - We had the best day exploring the Champagne region! Our guide was amazing—super friendly and knew so much about the area and the champagne-making process. Visiting Moët & Veuve Clicquot was incredible, and the tastings were out of this world. It felt really special to see these famous champagne houses up close. If you're thinking about a day trip from Paris, this is the one to do!

What a wonderful experience! - Our tour of the Champagne region with Emily as our guide was simply spectacular. We discovered the secrets of champagne while exploring the vineyards and wineries. The driver took us safely and comfortably through the picturesque roads of the region, adding a special touch to our adventure. Thanks to Tour Up in Europe for this unforgettable experience!

Not for anyone over 35 - The 2 actual Champagne houses visited were lovely tours. Unfortunately this is a young company whose focus is on things like being impressed by Teslas and not on serivce. The tour was advertised as "10 Glasses of Champagne" which implies 3 or more house visited. We were taken to 2 and a "museum". Much time was wasted with late arrival to pick us up for the tour and "time for coffee" before our first house visit. We were picked up at 7:40am and our first tour wasn't until 11:45. Had I known the place we'd be brought for lunch would be the equivalent of a TGIFridays I would hvae had lovely sandwiches from the bakery where we had coffee. We rushed our Moet & Chandon experience in order to be on time for what turned out to be a "museum" and then were brought to a sports bar for lunch because the the only thing open for food at that hour was a bar. The whole day could have been planned so much better. The tour guide spent more time on her phone texting and dealing with the stuffed animal that she was to take photos of for Tour Up Europe than with provviding service to the patrons. I am sure she really didn't know an y better. She tried, but was ill exquipped to handle anyone not Gen Z or Millenial. When I reached out to the company I was told how unappreciative I was. I would never use Tour Up Europe again. They have no concept of customer service. And as far as me being unappreciative, well you can find my exemplary review of the other tour we took though Viator that was the absolute opposite. Marvelous attention, information and a truely wonderful experience.

Not as represented, overpriced, touristy and unprofessional - This tour was not as represented, overpriced and touristy.
We decided to splurge on a “Private Guided Tour” of Champagne for our group of 8, and I looked at both Trip Advisor and Tour Up Europe’s website, which says “During the drive, our guide will provide you with general information about the history of Champagne and wine production in the region.” We expected that a tour guide would be sharing information throughout the day about France and the Champagne region that would help us connect with the country and culture.
I should have been tipped off that something wasn’t right when they sent a link to pay a deposit that was 100 EUR more than they asked for. But after a couple emails, they sent a link for the deposit in the right amount, so we moved forward. We were asked to pay in cash on the day of the tour.
Just two days before the tour, we got an email from Valerie asking us to pay by card, not by cash. When I asked why, she said that we would only have a driver, not a guide. I asked if the driver would have information to share about the region and Valerie assured us he would, however when the driver arrived and we asked him to tell us about the region, he declined and said the only tour was at the wineries
While the website promised lunch at a “good local restaurant,” we were taken to a touristy joint that was a poor imitation of a British pub (at least two menu items contained the word “Sexy”). Definitely the opposite of connecting with the local culture.
Other details were neglected too. It would have been nice to know that it would be cold in the cellars and to bring a sweater or dress warmly. The car was cramped, and there was not enough time to do the whole itinerary, so we skipped the last stop.
Worst of all, when I emailed Valerie to express our dissatisfaction and shared the information above, she said we should have known that we wouldn’t have a guide (despite the event title and website description) because we asked for our entire group of 8 to be in one car. She became combative and even mocked me for thinking that the same person would be a driver and a guide, asking what did I think, “Will the guide be on the rooftop of a car?” She initially offered a very small refund (around 3%), and when I said I didn’t think that was sufficient and asked for a larger but still modest refund (around 8%), she stopped offering any refund altogether.
To sum it up, Tour Up Europe does not provide what was promised and was unprofessional about doing so. The “tour” was really just a drive to two large champagne houses where I could have easily made reservations myself, plus some sites that required no reservations. Anyone could arrange this directly at a fraction of the cost. Don’t waste your money on TourUp Europe.

Unreliable tour company - This tour company is unreliable. We booked this tour with a private upgraded vehicle. The driver failed to show at the hotel at the reserved time. I tried to contact the tour company via phone and messaging with no response. The hotel concierge was nice enough to assist and also received no response to messages left. The concierge reached out to Viator customer care, who also was unable to reach the tour company. Thankfully customer care was able to assist with a refund. This champagne tour was to be the highlight of our trip to France and it was ruined. Do not book with this tour company - SIA Tour Up in Europe. Unprofessional and unreliable.
