Another fantastic experience with My Vintage Tours - This was our third group tour in the past 4 years. We keep coming back because we love the experience so much. This time Romain was our guide and Suzie was our vehicle for the full day. We enjoyed Romain's friendly and very comprehensive commentary as we traveled up the Ave de Champagne, through the beautiful countryside and villages of Hautvilliers, Pierry and Oger. We visited Vollereaux for 3 tastings, a past favourite where we normally enjoy their famous picnic. Romain then drove us to a beautiful spot, high on the hillside overlooking the vineyards, where we were treated to an amazing charcuterie picnic with champagne and dessert. Then on to Jean Milan where we were fortunate to see them pressing the grapes before we had 3 more tastings. We capped the day off with a drive to the top of the Moet Chandon vineyards where we sabred a bottle of champagne, and toasted our friendship and good fortune to be visiting this special region of France during the peak of the harvest. All in all, another great tour and a super-fun experience.
