- Vinicunca Mountain - Early, at a scheduled time, we will stop at your hotel in Cusco to go to Collasuyo, south of the ancient capital of the Incas (Cusco) that was part of Tawantinsuyo (4 ancient regions of the Incas). Our first stop will be after 2h (78km), in the community of Paucarpata (CUSIPATA) where we will rest and we will be able to buy water or energizing drinks, snacks, cereals, etc. and also enjoy our buffet breakfast. Afterwards, we will continue on our transport by road for about 1 hour where we will arrive at the PHULAWASIPATA base camp and prepare to make the hike, a climb of approximately 2 hours (3.5 km). During this journey we will have the opportunity to see the impressive Hatun Ritti glacier (4825m), the different varieties of South American camelids and the wonderful reflection of the landscape accompanied by the Puka Qocha and Qomer Qocha lagoons.
Upon arriving at the Color Mountain we will have enough time to take pictures of this enigmatic and incredible place. Then we will return to the base camp, descending for approximately 1h30 (3.5km), where we will take our transport to Paucarpata and enjoy our delicious lunch. Finally, around 6 pm we will be in the imperial city of Cusco, where we will take you to your hotel.

The day the mountain was monochrome! - At 5.040m altitude, the colorful mountain surprised us: all white, cold and unforgettable. It wasn’t easy to climb under these conditions, but it was worth it!

Excellent - Excellent! The guide searches at the hotel near 5am, there is a stop for breakfast on the way before reaching the track. The trail is not difficult but is quite exhausting due to the altitude. There is the option to do the bike track or with a few donuts on the way.

Colorful - Despite having caught closed time and snow rain, the experience was very impressive. The snow gave all charm besides breathtaking views. The stops for feeding are great!

Epic Rainbow Mountain by ATV – Thrill, Beauty, and Unforgettable Views! - What an adventure! Our day trip to Rainbow Mountain was one of the most exciting and unique experiences of our time in Peru — and riding ATVs through the Andean landscape made it even more unforgettable.
We were picked up early in the morning from our hotel in Cusco. We got geared up with helmets and safety equipment and began our 1.5-hour ATV ride (15km) through an incredible landscape of open plains, rolling hills, and the towering glaciers, which rise dramatically to nearly 4925 meters above sea level. The views were jaw-dropping at every turn.
We also took motorcycles to reach the top of thr Rainbow Mountain itself. And wow — the sight was absolutely worth it. The colors of the mountain were just as vibrant as the photos.
After taking it all in, we made the descent back on our ATVs to the basecamp — a fun and smooth ride — and then drove to Paucarpata again for a well-deserved lunch, which was hearty and delicious.
Everything was perfectly organized: the transportation, meals, gear, and the helpful, professional local team, who made sure everything ran smoothly. We also really appreciated the rain ponchos — the weather can shift quickly at altitude! we had sun and snow at the same day!!!
This tour is perfect for adventurers who want to experience Rainbow Mountain in a more exciting and active way. Riding the ATVs added a whole new level of fun and allowed us to cover more ground with energy to spare for the hike and the views. A 10/10 experience — highly recommend it!

Breathtaking Experience at Rainbow Mountain - This tour was absolutely worth it! The hike was challenging but so rewarding—the views at the top were stunning. Our guide was supportive and shared great insights along the way. We had an unforgettable day reaching 5.036 m altitude. Highly recommended!

It is imperative to know the colorful mountain - Those who come to Cusco should prioritize to know the Colorful Mountain! We love the experience, the whole place surrounded by mountains is amazing, it is one of the magical nature of Peru! It was less difficult physically than we thought, we only felt the height pain (cephaly) after descending the mountain. While we were there it was fantastic! We loved the breakfast and lunch location! The service from Grand Travel was excellent!
