Marcahuasi is a plateau in the Andes Mountains, formed from volcanic activity, covering an area of about 4 km². It is situated in the province of Huarochirí, within the district of San Pedro de Casta.

Also known as “The House of the Protector,” Marcahuasi is encircled by cliffs and features a remarkable collection of massive rocks shaped like humans and animals.

Located 4,000 meters above sea level, it is a 4-hour journey from central Lima, making it an ideal spot for trekking and day trips.
