Amazing walking food tour of Pescara - What a great experience! We were initially skeptical because when we arrived, we were met by two Italian guys just asking if we were there for a tour. No sign or anything. We stayed with our guide Luca and he showed us tons of places! We started at a local market and sampled everything from local breads, to cheeses, to fresh vegetables. Luca told us all about the culture and the food as we wandered. We stopped for coffee and local pastries on our walk around Pescara. We had appetizers and wine before heading to a local restaurant for some fresh pasta. Overall this may be one of the highlights of our trip and wouldn’t hesitate to do this again or recommend it to anyone.

Satisfied - Intrigued after trying another tour in the center of Pescara with positive reviews, I was very satisfied with the tour of the Porta Nuova market. I appreciated the tastings, especially the excellent porchetta sandwich. The very friendly and knowledgeable guide is very passionate about his territory

The tour was cancelled... - The tour was cancelled due to rain. The operator was kind enough to reach out to either reschedule during the coming week or to cancel and receive a refund. I am still waiting for the refund. :)

Buyer beware!! - Twice cancelled. Second time we were already in Pescara by train. Stay away. We never went on tour. So the choice is yours to make. Killed a half day on train back and forth from Giulinova and had a cafe.

Cancelled due to sickness. - Was told the tour guide was sick so it was cancelled and we are hopefully getting a refund. Looking at the other comments this seems to be a common occurrence - do not book.

Have a Plan B for the day - You might want to make sure you have an alternative planned for the day, as this was the second experience in two days cancelled at short notice the operator, Gustabruzzo. And I mean short notice - we got an email at 6:16 for a tour meant to start at 10.00 am. No reason given and there was nothing in the booking that said the tour would be cancelled if enough people didn’t book it. I get that life and emergencies happen, and would be more understanding if there was just a brief reason given for the cancellation. In the absence of any explanation, I’ve been left feeling that Gustabruzzo have not been very honest about the terms of their offering or caring about their customers. The one saving grace is that Viator have been super helpful about it all - can’t fault them.

Dramatic - Dramatic. Not to eat half a rooster. Complaint was ignored. How dare you serve something like that. Pay the full price. Once never again.

Tour cancelled an hour beforehand - I received a message an hour before the tour that it was cancelled because of the “sudden illness” of the tour guide, which, looking back on past reviews, seems to be a frequent occurrence. While we were offered the option of rescheduling for two days later, we had to leave Pescara the next day. We were told we’d get a refund. I guess I don’t understand not having a back-up tour guide.

Unprofessional- tour canceled without notification - The tour was canceled 30 minutes before it was supposed to start. They did not reach out via email or call, just canceled the tour. Do not waste your time or money planning this tour.
