Highlights

Navigate the waters of the Adriatic, starting from the Gargano ports of Vieste, Peschici, or Rodi Garganico and reaching the Tremiti Islands.

Upon arrival, disembark to explore the quaint center of San Nicola. As you walk along the “Salizada,” an ascent from the port to the historic center, you’ll first encounter the Crucifix Tower, followed by the Badiali Castle with its adjacent Angioina Tower, and the Benedictine Abbey of S. Maria a Mare, all of which highlight the strategic importance of the Tremiti Islands over the centuries.

Alternatively, you can head to the island of San Domino, a paradise where you can admire the rich biodiversity of flora and fauna, lose yourself in small coves, and take in stunning views. The Lateran people called it “Paradise on Earth” due to the vibrant colors of the flowers and the dense pine forest. The landing point, known as “Schiavonesco,” is where the Slavs once landed during fishing trips. From here, you can start exploring Cala Matano, Cala degli Inglesi, Cala Tonda, and especially Cala delle Arene, which is sandy and more spacious than the others.

Dive into the island’s crystal-clear waters, explore coral seabeds, and discover caves with mesmerizing colors. Don’t miss the Grotta delle Viole and the Grotta delle Rondinelle. For a memorable photo, pass under the Architiello and visit Punta del Diavolo, named after a dark legend.

Included in the price is a boat tour between the islands (not included in the price of the experience), lasting approximately 1 hour. This tour showcases the coast of the main islands by sea with one stop in one of the most picturesque coves.

Advised - It was a nice experience, we left from the port of Peschici and from San Nicola we did the tour of the islands, which took us back to San Domino, there is a small beach there, we rented a sunbed and umbrella at a cost of 30 euros and in the in the afternoon we took the larger boat back to Peschici. Definitely not practical for very young children. I recommend doing the island tour first and then stopping on the beach. Unfortunately, there is little time to spend on the beach.

Ferry cancelled due to power failure - It would definitely have been great if the ferry hadn't had a power outage and the tour had to be cancelled.
